Rick took a deep breath as he walked to the hospital room Kate was in. What was he going to say to her? Hi honey your mom was murdered?! He shook his head and knocked on the door and walked in. 

The nurse was tending to Kate and smiled. "Hi, you must be the husband." She said and Rick nodded. The nurse, whose name was Jamie smiled and told him what to do if she woke up with panic attacks again. 

Rick thanked her then took a chair to sit next to Kate. He took her hand and rubbed it gently, he knew it always made her feel calm. "Kate." He whispered and he took a deep breath. "This is all my fault, if we had just never came to New York this would have never happened." He said more guilty than ever. 

"And then I find out I'm not the first man to ever have your heart." He said with emotion in his voice. "I promise you're the first woman to have mine." He said a little sharply. 

He took a deep breath and kissed her hand. "I have a lot to tell you." He said. "I promise I'm going to get justice for your mother. One way or another." He said and he leaned back in his chair. 

A few minutes later he heard the heart monitor go up. He looked up to see Kate's eyes fluttering open. She took a deep breath and turned her head. Rick smiled and ran a hand through her hair. 

"Hey." He whispered and she weakly smiled. "Hey." She said and he kissed her forehead. Kate looked up through her eyelashes and put her hand out for him to hold. He took it and she squeezed it.

 "You are the first man to have my heart." She said and he furrowed his brow. "I heard everything you said." She said and he bit the inside of his cheek.

 "I know you're mad at me but I promise I never loved Josh, he was just a distraction, I was tired of everyone asking me if i had someone special in my life, but I never fell in love with him." She said and he smiled tenderly. 

He leaned down and gave her a tender kiss. "Now about the other matter." She said and he sighed. "I don't think i want to go down that rabbit hole." She said and he opened his mouth to speak but she kept going.

 "Rick I buried that part of my life! Even if my mother's death wasn't an accident, i don't want to open those wounds." She said. "But Kate, we know who did it!" He said and she sighed. 

"I know, but for my sake don't tell me." She said. "Leave it." She said and and Rick shook his head. "NO I'm sorry Kate, I won't let this rest." He said and he got up and left the room.

 Kate groaned and called her nurse. She needed to get out of here and stop him before he did anything stupid! The nurse came in and asked Kate what was wrong. 

"Yes Ma'am." She asked. "I need to get out of here." Kate said. 

"I'm sorry Ma'am only the doctor can release you." She said and Kate rolled her eyes. "Well can you go get him?!" She asked and the nurse nodded. "Of course." She said and she walked out. 

Kate didn't care, she ripped the stuff off herself and took the clothes from her chair and put them on. She peeked through the door where her bodyguards were standing. She rolled her eyes, great!

 She had an idea. She went to her bed and got under the covers. "Michael, Bobby!" She yelled and they came in. "Someone tried to give me some strange medicine!" She said like she was distraught. "Which was did he go?!" They asked.

 "Left." She said and she coughed. They nodded and ran out. Kate smirked and jumped out of bed and ran out of the room, she went right and ran to the elevator. 

Luckily is was just opening. She walked in and saw the guards coming back. She smirked and waved to them and they cringed. She knew they were scared, if she got her on their watch that would be bad for them.

 She had their back though. Once the elevators closed she took her phone out and dialed Roy's number. 

"Hello?" "Hey Roy it's me, Rick just left the hospital he's on some kind of mission to find the person who killed my mom." She said and he sighed. 

"Kid, he's with me." He said and Kate gasped. "What!? Roy what.." "I'm the one who gave him the information. I gotta go I'll talk to you later kid." He said and he hung up.

 Kate growled and stepped out of the elevator. She hailed a cab, asking for Lanie's house. She decided to have Javi trace the call.

 Two men walked in the warehouse with a man covered by a black mask. They dragged him and threw him on the chair. "Take the mask off." A voice said and the took the mask off his face. 

Roy walked out of the shadows and bracken narrowed his eyes. "You! I knew it was you." He spat. "Hello Bill." Roy said. "You'll regret this! i'll have you thrown in jail!" he said and Roy rolled his eyes. 

"You know assaulting a senator brings wrath down on you." He said and Roy chuckled. Another voice talked, "Maybe for him but not for me." Rick said and he stepped out of the shadows.

 Bill furrowed his brow. "Who are you?" He asked. "Someone you can't touch." Roy answered. "He happens to be in the royal family." Roy said nonchalantly and Bracken gulped. 

"And I happen to be married to the woman whose mother you killed." he said and he crouched down on his knees in front of Bracken. "You can't prove anything." Bracken said and Rick smiled. 

"Oh but I can, I just need some more information out of you, so I brought a friend." He said and Bracken spit at Rick. Rick took a tissue and wiped his face. 

"You'll regret that." He whispered. A tall dark skinned African man walked in and Bracken kept looking down. "Ah Dembae." Rick said and the man smiled. "Richard!" Another man said.

 He was older, wearing dark glasses and a black fedora hat. and Rick smiled. "Red." he said. "Ah Bracken meet my friend Raymond Reddington." Rick said and Raymond smiled. "Hello senator, let's begin."
