Just The Beginning

Jake was in a dark, dull place it was quiet and filled with vines that basically over took the place he was staying in, oh right, that place having to be where he lived. He wasn't able to sleep that night; he's been deep in thought. Jake sat up having to groan in frustration "Why can't I bloody forget it all even happened!?" he mumble to himself, having to reach behind him grabbing the firm pillow placing it against his face as his glasses were now being pressed against his face surely to leave dents and prints in his face. He'd never think that the Texan male would have this huge effect on him especially when he was losing his best friends from left to right, he wasn't even sure if Roxy would still be there for him. "I screw up a lot don't I?" he said as his words were being muffled against it, after that a long and heavy sigh escaped his mouth. Jake slowly removed the pillow from his face; he used his right hand to push the glasses back up toward the bridge of his nose, as he flopped backwards on the bed. "I just want to apologize to them but it seems I only find a fringing hell way to fuck that up huh." The British male turned towards his side having to be cradling the pillow close towards him mainly to where his chest and torso was, as he gradually rested his chin into the pillow, Jake looked at the comic book he has been reading for a while. Tomorrow was the day where everyone decides to meet up again, He bets they purposely choice his monstrous island that was basically covered in vines and monsters. Jake was silently raging to himself in his room as a groan irrupted from him. Soon tiny like footsteps where heading up towards his room, jade came up with a frown on her face. "Seriously grandpa, try to at least sleep for tonight would you! I do not think I can stand another night that is full of your groaning and moaning." She whined having to place her hands by her side now the muscles in her face relaxing into a more calm concerned expression. "You aren't really that nervous to meet strider again? Are you?" Jake sat up as he turned his head towards his biologic granddaughter "Ah...I apologize for waking you up from your slumber but I just can't seem...to..." He sighed heavily having to take a long pause as Jade stared at him for a long time before she soon released a sigh. 'Jake, I understand seeing an ex is going to be awkward as heck!!! But trust me it'll be fine, okay?" She gave her cutest smile at Jake. For some reason this calmed Jake more than anything, as he soon felt a smile creep up on his lip lining "Well geez, jade you sure have a bloody way of settling others down at times like these?" Jade walked over towards Jake and leaned down placing a lovingly kiss on the center of his forehead "No more talk, we have such a BUSY DAY TOMORROW!!!" she said basically squealing with her tail slowly wagging and her ears having to twitch. Jake closed his eyes making an audible "Mm" when being kissed on the forehead "Ah right where was my golly brain in all this overwhelming thinking, well good night jade!!" Jade made her exit by walking down the stairs avoiding the vines that she keeps forgetting to cut but she'll deal with it tomorrow. Jake lay back down on the bed having to remove his glasses and folding the handle inwards as he slowly reached over to place them on the dresser. The male then tried to make himself; more comfortable by going into a fettle position as he reached his arm downward to grab the blanket and pull it over him; he took in a deep breath and closed his eyes slowly watching the images fade away and the color of black slowly take over. After a few hours of sleep, the birds were chirping so damn early in the morning, Jake tossed and turned in his sleep, having to finally wake up, He was out of it for a while. He blinked once more, as he rubbed his eyes slowly. A yawn coming out from him, he stretched now having to get up. Jade was already outside, having to already removed half of the vines that were engulfing the house. Jake smiled seeing that she was a hard worker, he scurried towards the closet but tripped over his own feet having to forget he didn't have his glasses on, he basically feel straight chest on the ground. "Oof!!" He let out painfully, as it seems he tripped over one of the guns which wouldn't be surprising at all. Jake quickly got back up, having to be wearing one of his shorts that were for outside like basketball shorts as he quickly changed from his last night shirt to a white t-shirt with a green skull on it. Jake quickly receives his glasses unfolding the handles and placing them on his face so they stayed on, when he ran down the stairs careful not to trip over anything else; He went to go meet up with Harley in the backyard. "Wowie..." he muttered having to see was completely done, it seems she was already setting up decorations for the guest, all those who were arriving were Crocker, Lalonde's, Striders, Egbert and their lovers to whom they started dating during the gaming sessions. A few hours passed as it was now 10:00 a.m. the party didn't start until 1:00 p.m. The first guest to arrive was Jane Crocker; Jake turned his head having to be in a new set of attire of clothing by then, Jane was wearing a skirt and her regular attire. 'Sorry, if I arrived earlier than I should but I just needed to drop off a few things and I knew you all would need the help so-" Jane stop speaking as she looked at Jake who seemed to have been staring at her for some time now wondering if he should say something or not. "Is that Jane!?" said an excited voice to break up the awkward, tensed conversation between the two, Jade hurried towards jane and hugged her tightly from the waist down having to bury her head into her chest which made the other blush in response. "Nice seeing you as well jade!" She giggles while placing her hands on the younger girl's shoulders and pushed her gently to create spacing between the two. "........" Jake felt his heart dropping like someone just punt kicked his heart and mainly his stomach. Jade looked at Jake once more as she sighs heavily "Greetings, Jake." Before she could even say his name an outburst of "Please don't hate me." Came out of his mouth, both females were pretty shocked by this sudden outburst. "Jake..." Jane said sweetly but Jake continued one of his apologetic panics. "I didn't mean to hurt you with my imprudent thinking." Jane sighed louder now having to lose her patience with him a bit because dealing with Jake when he is like this took a lot of energy to deal with "Jake..." She repeated herself once more but he kept going on. "I had no idea that I made you feel like that! Dab nab it I am such a thoughtless lad aren't I? I mean it seems everyone else knew about it besides me, am I really that numb-"Jane was now her face expression turning into a frown "Jake!!!!" Jake looked up with tears swelling in his eyes as Jane kept her firm stare. "God you should really learn to allow people to speak for once!" She said groaning. "Anyways Jake, I have already forgiven you, stop beating yourself up over it, okay?" She says walking towards him as Jade stared in awe at the two finally trying or at least attempting to heal their damaged friendship. Hours passed, it was soon 1 p.m. Jane had mainly baked every Betty Crocker product there was and placed it on the food table, she attempted to make pizza and others things that weren't just sweet. The second guest to arrive were the Lalondes' with their bringing of alcohol and mainly every drink to even exist. Rose was smart enough to bring beverages for people who didn't drink at all. "Hello." Rose said in a proper manner as Roxy raised one hand with a smug smile "Sup!" she said already having to be drunk as usual, Jake and Jane went to go help them by placing the beverages on the separate table from the food. Jade went towards Rose giving her a tight hug while smiling brightly "Hello Rose! Long time no see." She chuckled, Rose grinned as she returned the warm embrace. "Well, yes it has hasn't it? Dave said he is to be arriving shortly which I doubt but we have to remember that he is cool and cool kids never arrive late." Rose sighed heavily with the rolling of her eyes. "Oh right! He does like to exaggerate that cool kid jig doesn't he? Awe but he is such a huge loveable dork!" Jade said whining as her dog ears folded downward. Rose pulled Jade a bit closer as she petted her head slowly. "Ahahaha, Jade you can be adorable when you want, never lose that charm to you." Rose said with a smile. "So how are you and maryram holding up?" Jade asked as one of her ears perked up from her own question. "Well, I can appreciate your concern but I and kanaya are doing just fine." Rose stopped hugging Jade as she started to head inside, Jade soon followed suit. "So! Do you like it? Jake really let the place go..." The inside of the house was large and very spacy, the handy work was beautiful. Rose went to sit on the couch with a book in her hands, Jade went to sit on the couch as well, laying her head on rose's lap as she drifted into a deep sleep again. Jake wiped his forehead with the back of his hand, Roxy walked towards both the alpha kids as she had open arms and went to hug the both of them. Jane didn't hug back neither did Jake "Hahaha, its nice meeting you again also rox." Jane said in her quiet demeanor. Roxy laughed a bit "Awe c'mon Jane do not tell me, your bein a major tight ass again I thought we worked on not makin you one again." The blonde girl said huffing. "So are you and jakey like I dunno bffys again? Or at least speakin" She asked forgetting Jake was right there, being pressed against her unwilling "Roxy you do know that I am right here mate?" Jake said in a questioning tone but Roxy countered him with a bunch of shushing noises. "Uhhh...Well to answer your bewildered question, then yes we are speaking again." Roxy made a queering sound "Ekkkk awe that's very hella man." Roxy finally let them go as she was holding a bottle of vodka in her hand having to casually drink from it not wanting to drown it all. "Anyways, The Striders are soon to arrive." Jake felt his heart drop once again but this time, it was more painful and breathe taking. "R-Right..." After a few minutes past, the striders finally arrived with John, Jane went to greet the others as Jake and Roxy stayed behind continuing to speak. Dave and Dirk wore a poker face as Jane greeted them once again. "Oh sorry about that Crocker, I still can't believe we fucking showed especially since you know." He shrugged and cocked his head towards Dirk. "Yeah I know, how about we just distract Jake all day until the party sleep over thing, Pardon me but I forgot what jade called it." Jane said whilst laughing. Dave made a small smirk "yeah I totally get it, don't worry I'll go discuss this with Egbert, you keep bro away and me and him can keep g'pa away." He gave thumbs up having to go look for Egbert "Jesus fuck were does that dork zap off to now." He walked inside the house to see both jade, john and rose all in a giant pile like it was cuddle time "Should I even bother to ask?" John perked his head up before waving at Dave "Hey Dave, What's up?" Dave raised his left hand towards his face and face palmed so hard that his shades were pressed against his eyes. "Rose...at least you could explain?" Rose shoved John off as a whining noise came from Egbert "Gladly, Unfrankly, Jade was resting on my lap as John somehow zapped his way in here and fell on us as it was nothing, Jade mistook it as a dog pile and that should perhaps explain the rest no?" Dave raised an eyebrow as he chuckled to himself 'Jegus fuck you are all something." Dave quickly waved his arms "Anyways we have a problem." Rose, Jade and John were now paying an attention "where are the Doritos." All three either made a face or face palmed until a mark was let on their face. "You can't be serious right..." Jade said with disbelief "Okay I was just fucking with you all, so chill with the reactions." Dave said with sarcasm "But seriously, we have to keep Jake and Dirk away from each other wouldn't want this becoming a sad fest now would we."
