I remember we had a love that didn't last

We talked all night

We texted all day

I'm sorry for messing it up

I realized I messed up when you had to go

Now my conscience is stained , I just thought you should know

I miss your smile

I miss listening to your poems

And the pain still stings up to now

Sometimes I cry while thinking of you

I remember the things you would do

When I was tired you would try and help me sleep

You did so much for me and I didn't show my appreciation

I wish I could show you how much I care

But I won't go back there

I haven't even deleted your number from my phone

I haven't dared to text it again

You deserve so much more

You probably have moved on anyway

You were my first love

I will never forget you

I will always regret the things I didn't say

Maybe one day you'll talk to me again
