Decomposing Feelings

Chapter 6

When they reached the hospital, everything there looked disturbed. They quickly rushed towards Selena's room and there she wasn't there. The head nurse the moment she saw Dr. Collins, she came up to him and informed him that Selena had left, she had got very violent when they started treating her convulsions.

Dr. Collins and Ivy did not speak much and left the hospital.

Dr. Collins, "you know where she would had left?"

Ivy, "certainly not at Maysville, I know nothing about her beyond Maysville. I think we have lost her and we should not be chasing her anymore."

Dr. Collins, "I can't do that Ivy, she is very important for my work, I think now the only person who will be of help is Mary. After all she was the one who had recommended Selena, I never asked her why she thought that Selena was a fitting candidate for my research on after life but now I realize that Mary definitely has had a close encounter with Selena."

Ivy, "fine then, I think I should take a back seat now. After all this, I don't think Selena needs my help, I will leave you here Jerry but in case if something comes up where you need my help, you have my number, please do tell me."

Dr. Collins, "I respect that Ivy, and I cannot thank you enough for all that you have done. I will drop you home."

They drove off to Maysville and Dr. Collins left Ivy home, he as usual headed to the hotel where he was staying before, next day he had a meeting fixed up with Mary to understand what she knew about Selena.

It was a tiring day for both, everything for now was good, after all only bad thing that had happened was that Selena had fun away from the hospit but then Dr. Collins was anticipating for something more to happen considering the fact that he knew now about Selena, he was trying to comprehend what was it that he had witnessed in her and the possibility of a explanation existing. The only way he could get there was to know what Mary was trying to hide from him and from the whole world. Since he was not sleepy, he started going through some information available on the internet on something that could be related to Selena's case, he was busy reading when his phone rang. It was quite surprising to receive a call at that hour in the night, he rushed towards his phone, it was from an unknown number.

Dr. Collins, "Jerry Collins here."

Caller, "Dr. I have a terrible news for you, I am officer Mason, you will have to report to the local PD immediately."

Dr. Collins, "and may I ask why is that?"

Caller, "we regret to inform you that Ms. Mary Rogers has been murdered and in her call logs we have found you call to be the last. You will have to report immediately, we need some information from you."

Dr. Collins, "WTF, Mary is dead? Inspector Rogers, I will be there as soon as I can."
