For Lea - Pregnancy Announcement Gone Wrong (Liam Imagine)

"We can do this." Liam squeezes your hand in assurance. You take in a deep, shaky breath and with sheer determination on your face, call for everyone's attention.

A week ago, you found out that you were pregnant with your boyfriend Liam's baby and as excited as you were, you were terrified about how your family would react because your parents have always wanted you to do so much with your life. Your parents are quite strict when it comes to being successful whether it is in school or at work and they always push you to work really hard so that you can be successful and you know that in their eyes, a child would be a major setback. However, you cannot hide this forever and you have made up your mind that you want the baby.

On this beautiful Sunday morning, both your and Liam's families have gathered for brunch and you and Liam decide that its now or never. It's better to just tell everyone at once.

"Okay so..." You procrastinate, wanting the ground to open up and swallow you so that you don't have to do this. Glancing at Liam, who looks as white as a sheet, you send out a silent plead for help.

"Lea and I have something important to tell you guys." Liam carries on. At this point, everyone is staring intently at the two of you, waiting for you to tell them what the hell is going on. Right then, you decide that you cant take this any longer.

"I'm pregnant." You blurt out, looking directly at your parents. There is a single moment of silent shock before everyone shows recognition of what you just said. Everybody in the room bursts into different reactions. Your siblings scream in excitement before pulling you into a hug whilst also congratulating you, Liam's parents look fairly happy too as they pull the two of you into a hug. Your parents however, are a different story.

"You're PREGNANT?!" Your mom spits out, her face red with rage. "How many times did I tell you to be safe? There is so much you have to do with your life! A child is only going to bring you down. How are you even going to raise a child? You have to abort it, thats all you can do." At this moment she is literally shaking you.

"I agree with your mom. Get rid of it!" Your dad inserts, with disgust on his face. "And you," He points to Liam. "Stay away from my daughter. I don't want you anywhere -"

"STOP!" You scream, tears rolling abundantly down your face. Holding in a sob, you turn to your mother. "There is a difference between what I want to do with my life and what YOU want me to do with my life. All my life you've made me learn things that I may not have wanted to learn but I did it anyway because it would ensure that I am 'successful' in life." You rant to your stunned parents. "And dad, I am taking responsibility for my actions and I am not 'getting rid' of my baby."

"She's right and we are going to raise our child together. I am not going anywhere" Liam adds pulling you into a hug as you are still sobbing.

"I didn't expect you to understand but I am keeping my baby." You reiterate.

"Then you cant stay under our roof." Your parents say, stone cold. Shock flashes on your face as you stare at their almost smug faces. They think that that will make you abort the baby.

"Fine. I'll move out by Wednesday." You say before turning around and exiting the room. You run to Liam's bedroom because you are in his house, and start pretty much bawling your eyes out. You knew it was going to be bad, but this was on a whole other level. About a minute later, Liam enters the room and pulls you into his arms.

"We're going to be okay." He tries to assure you.

By Wednesday, as promised, you have shifted all your things out of your parents house and moved in with Liam. They didn't budge from their decision and are ignoring your presence which hurts but you know that you will be alright.

*About 9 months later*

"She's so beautiful." You whisper happily to Liam, as you carry your baby girl in your arms for the first time. The past few months have been tough without your parents support but Liam's family and your siblings have been nothing but supportive so you got through it. All your friends are also extremely excited and have sent you a whole lot of baby toys, food and clothes to help you out.

"I love you so much." Liam says to two of his favourite ladies.
