I couldn't resist the compelling words of Jon as he had asked me considerably many times to work for him at the music store. At first I had been wary since hearing of Juzani's disappearance and I had declined the persisted offers with a look of guilt and pity saying that school was too much and I was already on the brink of high school extinction. Still, his offer continued as I neared the beginning of my senior year.

Toying with the idea of creating myself anew and trying something that could please myself and my simple minded parents, it was decided I would go work for Jon at the start of the first week of August.

Not only had the man been delighted of my acceptance but he insisted I be both a music stocker and errand boy to "kill two birds with one stone" and to gain experience in multiple areas. So I went along and finished my summer classes thoroughly with a decent score and a job stacking records from my rolling cart to the labeled racks above.

Jon was quite impressed if I do say so myself and from time to time I was sent to fetch his groceries from the local market or watch over his only girl Natesa, adopted from North Africa. She was merely four and we became quite close- so close that I began to refer to her my little sister despite the physical and personal differences.

It had been a sunny Saturday afternoon that the girl with blue hair clips had insisted on getting ice cream as it was getting quite hot by the time we were out.

I had taken her to the shop near the music store and expected nothing less of getting a double chocolate scoop for me and a single strawberry for Natesa. It had been to my surprise that the lone boy from the back of my class worked behind the pristine polished countertop and as I handed him the ten dollar bill, telling him to keep the change, he hadn't looked up at me once.
