Love.
Such a feeling is both indescribable yet so impossible to ignore, yet when it came to me I found it frighteningly easy to let my voice sing to him in light melodies of adoration.
The feeling itself is such a raw and vulnerable emotion that the mere mention of it can bring out the best and the worst in anyone.
Having lived in a once loving household, been once surrounded by a group of loving friends and now sitting alongside a boy I loved endlessly, it was safe to say that I could truly describe love as something so foreign yet so familiar in ways that I couldn't explain.
It made me feel like a whole new person altogether and with him looking into my eyes as I did in his, I found myself falling faster and faster into the epitome of his soul. It was a unique and incredible experience to feel such love for someone.
Whether it was watching the early morning sunrises or rolling down hills under the late night sky, I found myself happier than I could've ever imagined and the boy I called Emerald was everything that I could have ever asked for.
Even as the days wore on and our once formidable peers graduated to greater success, Connor and I continued to learn both from each other and the world around us.
Discovering ourselves and each other in a world we had once thought was small ended in being the best years of my life.
It was with Connor Franta that everything good happened and nothing seemed impossible.
We were in love.
