I named my car Sage after my late twin sister and my own two parents were shocked when I announced it to them at our state requested family dinner.
Before my dad had left our property back to his new house that he had shared with my stepmother Avery, I had made sure to account for his loss of a dream for me. I had assured him that I wouldn't continue the family name in his famed physiatrist office but that I would begin my path anew with the start of an unknown road to my newfound happiness.
My gap year wasn't a welcomed idea as I had thought and with every passing day, I grew more accustomed to hearing the voices of disappointment in my head and the shamed glanced of once beloved peers and educators.
I would be setting a new standard and within the choice and I would be forever changed within myself.
It was only when I had heard the comforting words of the boy I called Emerald that my worries and distractions seemed to cease and only his calm green eyes and sturdy warm hands remained.
We had grown through such experiences together and I found myself feeling the strangest of an attraction to him that I had never once known before.
My thoughts first landed on the boy of the past named Isaac and for a while I felt the need to push Connor away- in conclusion it would also rid of hastily used emotions and hard earned expressions which could therefore keep us both safe from the depths to each other.
He in turn took my words and twisted them so thoroughly and so successfully that my mind felt changed as if it had been picked and prodded to set it on the end result of admitting a love for Connor Franta.
