WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A kiss, was actually just a teasing gesture. I went in for a kiss on the lips, but he had other ideas. When I felt his lips on the tip of my nose, I immediately frowned, but smiled afterwards and laughed. I ran my hands up his arms and ran them back down to lace my hands with his. A gentle smile fell on my lips. Castor's lips turned up in a grin and I could have sworn that I felt my heart soar in my chest as he looked at me.

Giving Castor a half smile, I pull him out of our hiding place and into the pack house area. We walked to the pack house, hand in hand, until I saw Nissa, Asha, Sara, and Justin. Almost immediately, they saw me and the green head and blonde ran up to me in a rush. I almost fell over if it wasn't for Castor behind me to catch me.

Asha looked as if she had tears in her eyes as she pulled back to look me in the eyes. Sara just had a smile on her face as if everything was normal. "Ravyn, you're okay! I thought that that wolf was going to kill you! When Nissa told me that you fought that wolf and then another came, and after that one was killed..." she continued to ramble on and on until I laughed and shook her gently by her shoulders.

"Asha, I'm fine, okay? Nothing bad happened and I'm standing right here. I'm not going anywhere," she looked at me with her big green eyes, almost crying. I pulled her into a hug and held her as she tried to pull herself together. "I promise you Asha, I am going to stay here until you don't want me anymore, okay? I will stand next to you until I can no longer protect you. You know this Asha."

I heard her sigh into my shoulder twice before she pulled away and wiped her tears away. "I- I know. And Nissa and I don't want you to ever leave us! But I just don't want you to die," she said sadly.

I felt everyone around me tense up at her words. By now, some of the pack members from both packs came out and Justin and Nissa joined us. "Asha," I held her cheek in my palm, "everyone dies. You of all people know that. And even if I do die one day, it will be because I will do anything to protect the people I love." I told Asha. Nissa had now put an arm around Asha's shoulders and held one of them in her hand.

I wanted to make her smile, so I said, "And besides," they looked up at me. "Even if I am dead, I'll still haunt you." I tease her with a big smile. Nissa laughs as Asha smiles, giggling. "I'll freak out Drago and throw things around; Hell! I'll even use the Frozen Spell to show you that I'm still around." the three of us laugh as Asha sobers up.

"Yeah, and you'll still have me," says Nissa with a teasing smile.

Asha's smile brightened up the day as she finally admitted, "Yeah, I guess you girls are right..."
