I know, I know. You all hate me. I hope I can make it up to you by giving you this chapter! Mwah 💋

Castor had lunged at Lucas, and I fell to the ground. My strength was beginning to leave me, but I couldn't move or speak to defend or attack either male. I was beginning to feel hopeless. I swallow, attempting to use my mouth once more when Castor growls dangerously.

"What the hell do you think you're doing here, fucking vampire?!" Castor snarls, pushing the vampire down on the bed I was currently using.

Castor's nostrils flare at the sudden animosity he vibes out, and I'm hesitant to interrupt. "Cas.. Castor," I mumble weakly to get his attention. I'm not loud enough for his canine ears to pick up on my speech.

I begin crawling, slowly, because of the aching in my bones. They seemed to crack and break at every movement I make, and each time I lift one of my arms there's an intense pain. I cry out, cradling my elbow with one hand, completely flabbergasted at what's going on with my body. I've never regenerated like this before.

My scream must have gained their attention because next thing I know, Castor is right by my side. "Ravyn," he reaches out and gently touches my arm. "Are you alri—"

     I shriek in pain.

I couldn't let him touch me; he burns. I whimper to myself.

Castor's become a scalding furnace with another touch to my knee. I hiss in pain, jerking my body away from him. Before I realized what I did, I've already jumped from my spot and face him completely. "Get away from me," I seethe vehemently. I pause, realizing what I had said to who I said it to. Without knowing what came over me, I whimper at my sudden words.

"I'm sorry, baby, I—I didn't mean—well you—you burned me and," tears begin to swell in my eyes, knowing I had hurt my beloved. My throat swells up, spotting the hurt in his beautiful ocean blues. That pained look on his face as if I had been wounded; that look in his eyes seemed to scream pain. I would take that pain for him a hundred times, over and over, if it meant he wouldn't have a flare of pain.

Castor immediately reaches for my face, but soon retracts his hand because of the fearful look i suddenly give him. Tears leave mine, and I have no idea what's become of me this time around. After my reincarnations, I'm normally stable, but weak. It didn't make sense. Lucas suddenly kneels down beside me, softly caressing my back. I jerk away from him and gasp, but not from a burn. His touch was soothing to me, almost as soothing as my mother's voice.

Castor growls at the close proximity of Lucas and I, but I don't have the words to tell him what Lucas has suddenly become to me. Why was Lucas' touch full of warmth, yet when my actual mate touched me I drew back from him because of the pain? Why did my mate suddenly become a raging fire I could never touch, a forbidden fruit? He's too tantalizing to the eyes for me not to keep my hands to myself. There has to be an explanation about all of this, especially why I didn't want Castor, my mate, to touch me.

I didn't think Lucas had anything to do with it, but I never thought he'd be a vampire. Maybe Lucas did have something to do with this. He could have went to a powerful sorceress for the ability to repel Castor from me. But it could also be because of my regeneration, and with my ex beloved here with my current beloved present could be throwing off my spiritual vibe.

Oh, why couldn't this be simple! I shout to myself in internal agony.

Throwing my head back, it lands on Lucas' shoulder, and a great amount of sparks ricochet from our skin to skin contact. I hear his gasp linger in my ears, and hesitantly turn to gaze at his face. Lucas and I stare at one another, and he seems shocked it pleased, almost as if he had felt the sparks as well.
