Eating alone at my table was comforting.

Well, that was before these two showed up and stood there, staring at me expectantly. One was a girl, the other, a boy.

I recognised the girl from the day before. The one I was constantly getting eye contact with. She was also the girl that had that little 'food incident' the day before.

I recalled what happened and chuckled a bit, then started laughing.

"Is she okay?" I heard the boy ask the girl. "Why is she laughing?"

"Yeah. Something happened yesterday. Ever wondered why I was covered in goo?" she asked him and I watched as realisation etched his features.

"Oh," he muttered and I stifled my laughter until I stopped all together.

They sat down and stared at me, glancing at each other in the process.

I got bored.

"Okay. Did you come here for something or did you just lose your way?" I asked, irritatedly. "I could call a White Hat for you-"

"No, no," the girl said, using hand gestures to express her point. "We came here to talk to you," she said and I stared at her, then at the boy.

Returning my gaze to her, I pushed my plate to the side, folded my arms and leaned backwards into the chair.

"Okay, fine," I said. "What do you want?" I sighed.

They glanced briefly at each other before she turned back to me.

"Okay. But, I should let you know that what we're about to tell you is highly confidential. You mustn't share this with anyone else," she said seriously and I scoffed.

"Oh, please! Because I'm swimming in a pool of friends so big I'm drowning. You know, it really explains why I was sitting alone when you idiots showed up," I said, sarcastically.

The boy nodded in recognition.

"Sarcasm. I like it, but you'll need more than that to earn our trust and you might wanna work on it some more, but really though-"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! I don't need to work on anything. But, we can't say the same for your face now, can we?" I spat.

The girl's mouth slightly opened and her lips started curling up in a smile.

"Ooooh!" she started.

"Shut up, Mae," the guy mumbled, but Mae just continued laughing.

He rolled his eyes and turned to me with an annoyed and slightly embarrassed expression on his face.

"All I wanted to say was that you'll need our trust," he said in a slightly irritated tone.

Just then, Mae let out a very loud laugh. Both the boy and I turned to her. She immediately stopped, but she was laughing so hard she choked and started coughing. The boy slapped a hand to his forehead just as Mae started reaching for my glass of water. The boy started patting her in the back, but I guess that didn't work because Mae spat the water on him and started coughing again.

I rose an eyebrow at this, my lips forming a smirk.

"What the hell?!" the boy screamed and Mae started waving an apology at him.

"S...Sorry...C...Cisco," she said, between coughs.

He wiped his face on her jacket and she continued coughing.

I, on the other hand, resorted to staring the ceiling, failing miserably at blocking out Mae's coughs. I sighed heavily.

"And yet I need you guys to trust me?" I asked, irritatedly as Mae's coughs reduced.
