When you entered the room you had been sleeping in for the past couple of days, you noticed Legends of Hyrule sitting on the bed, closed. Quickly, you dashed towards the bed, grabbing the book and wondering how it got there. You didn't remember it being there before. Frowning, you flipped through the rotting pages until you came across the picture of the Wind Sorcerer. You became still, before you continued flipping, stopping once more on a page with another picture, this one sending chills up your spine.

The page was faded, greatly damaged, and smudged from what looked to be tears, but you recognized the sick grin, the cape, and the hair almost immediately.

Heart thumping, you yanked the page out and crumpled it into a ball. Then, you moved into the door, peeking into the hallway. It was late at night, so no one was awake, thankfully. You rushed into the living room and stared at the fireplace, the dancing flames, and felt the warmth. After taking one last glance at the paper, you threw it in. You watched the paper slowly disappear as the flames ate it, slowly erasing the picture It wasn't even in the flames, but you knew that, soon enough, the fire would reach it and it would be gone.

You hated watching it burn, knowing that was most likely the last picture of the Wind Sorcerer before he turned into a demon. You thought back to when Vila had given that book to you. You'd been clueless then, thinking that the book was just something to study, maybe even to learn a little more about the legends of the kingdom Hyrule. You'd still thought that Hyrule was only a false hope.

Who would have thought that, one day, one of those stories would have everything to do with you?

Letting out a breath you didn't know you were holding, you turned away from the fire and headed back to the bedroom, quietly closing the door behind you.

Vaati's answer from earlier that day scared you. It was so...relatable. You could ask anyone on this island if they wanted a little more power, more control over the world, and they would answer Yeah, I'd like a little more control over most things. Yeah, I'd like to not have to worry about things. What set common people apart from the Vaati, from the Demon King?

They actually pursued something that would give them that freedom: the Light Force and the Triforce.

Easily, one day those common people could wake up, and decide to do the same things they did. You yourself could decide to do the same things, your parents could decide to do the same things, Tetra could decide to do the same things, and so on. It would be hard, but someone could sure as hell become known just as much as the Demon King and the Wind Sorcerer.

And that made your heart leap up your throat.

"Where were you yesterday?"

It was the next day, and the response to the question you had asked the day before was still heavy on your mind. Agnan had noticed your silence and dragged you outside, to town, saying he was going to get you lunch since you have barely eaten and your mood was not at its best.

"Oh, um..." You stared at the ground, thinking of a lie. Vila must not have told him what she saw, or she didn't see anything at all. "I went to the temple." When Agnan gasped, his face contorted into an expression of horror, you frantically added: "But I didn't go inside! I don't get a good feeling from it, and with the god thing and Vaati's disappearance... Yeah..." At least the feeling part was true.

"Good," he said. "People say it's cursed, probably by that thing you saw. Before it went to that ocean, it was here. Many people have went in to pray to the Ocean King, but none ever came out."

You stared at him, wide-eyed. "Oh. Don't go into the temple. I getcha."

"Vila said you were talking to someone, too." You turned rigid, glancing at the wall that lead to the temple, where Vaati had left you when he left to do whatever he does when he's gone. Agnan didn't notice, and continued: "She said to ask you who it was."
