Chapter 21

"Nicolette! Sige na,samahan mo na ako please,I don't want to be a laughing stock in front of my friends and business associates"

Hindi ko ito pinansin,pinagpatuloy ko lang ang ginagawa ko.

Nakauwi na kami last week galing sa bakasyon nina Lolo at Nicholas. Nakausap ko na din sina Trevor at Athena,namiss ko sila. Bibisitahin daw nila ako sa susunod na weekend,May check up kasi si ate Trisha sa obgyne nya dito sa metro. Isasama nya ang mga bata kasi namimiss na nila ako.

Nagsisimula na ulit akong magtrabaho sa kompanya ng pamilya. Si Nicholas naman ay namamahala na ng negosyo na naipundar ni daddy sa sariling sikap. Marcus ang Clarence are helping each other to run the family company dahil sa kanila ito iiwan ni Lolo.

"I will allow you to hang out with your guy friends,pumayag ka lang"

"I don't have guy friends" walang pakealam na sagot ko dito.

"I will allow you to entertain your suitors then" no way!

"I don't like any of them"

"Please baby pumayag ka na oh" lumapit ito sa kinauupuan kong swivel chair at iniikot iyon sa harap nito na nakaluhod na sa sahig.

"No!" Matigas kong sagot dito.

"Please baby! Mapapagalitan si kuya" nakangising tumingala ito sa akin.

"Naman e,kainis ka!" Tinulak ko ito na naging sanhi ng pagkakaupo nito sa sahig.

Nakangising tagumpay ito ng tumayo sa pagkakaupo. Lumapit ito sa akin para yakapin ako. He knows my soft spot pagdating sa kanilang tatlo.

"Thanks little one,I owe you this one"

"Bakit kasi ako pa? Naubusan ka na ba ng babae na pwedeng iparada?"

Kainis naman e! Nagamamaktol ako na muling bumalik sa aking ginagawa. Naupo naman itong muli sa harapan ng table ko kung saan ito nakaupo kanina.

"I just wanna boast my date"

"Akala ko ba ayaw nyo akong ibalandra sa mga tao? Why now?"

"To attract investors?" Tumawa pa ang gago.

"Sira ulo ka! Seryoso nga"

"Okay! Sabi kasi ni Lolo I should take you out,pumayag naman si dad,you have to be familiarize in the business world,so attending this party is the start of your duty"

So ito na talaga! Ito ang kapalit ng pagpayag nilang lumayo ako sa kanila ng ilang buwan. Be a part of the family's business. My original plan is to put up my own business to prove that I can be successful too on my own. But they didn't allowed me,sabi ni Lolo why would I waste my time when I can have it in a blink of an eye.

Sometimes I got annoyed,all I want is their love and affection. But since my accident they provided everything I needed and what I want. To the point na nasobrahan na sila sa pagbibigay sa akin. Thanks to mom, she's there to keep me grounded.

Working with kuya Travis helps me a lot to understand how business goes. Para na din akong nag internship sa ginawa kong trabaho sa probinsya. But it's enjoyable there dahil konti lang ang empleyado at may oras pa ako sa ibang bagay. Unlike here,my time is always full of schedules.

"Fine! Just let my secretary knows all the info. Then I can get ready in time"

"No problem baby,see you later" hinalikan ako nito sa noo bago tuluyang lumabas ng opisina ko.

I was on coma for few days after my operation. I woke up with my parents presence on the side of my bed. Mom was crying because she was afraid they might lost me. But I didn't,biro ni Nicholas masamang damo raw ako kaya hindi daw ako basta mawawala. Napagalitan pa ito ni daddy ng marinig ang sinabi nito.
