"My mom's sushi was delicious, wasn't it?" Jay smiled as he walked me inside my apartment.

"Yeah, it was delicious. Where did she learn how to cook like that?" I asked, not just out of courtesy, but because I genuinely wanted to know.

"Her whole family's filled with cooks." Jay chuckled, shaking his head. "Hunter's great at it. I'm only good at making sandwiches." He said.

"Me too." I said, relating so much to his words.

"Hey, can I try your rock wall this time?" He asked, grinning. "In that tuxedo?" I wrinkled my nose.

"I'll manage." He winked and began to climb it. It was a rather short wall, just tall enough so that it could reach the second floor. Keep in mind that my ceilings aren't exactly too tall.

He landed onto the mat and dusted his hands. "Pretty easy. I should get one of these." He said thoughtfully, admiring my slightly dirty rock wall.

I shrugged. "So, let's talk about school." He said and I laughed. "You sound like-" I paused. My initial reaction was to say parents, as everyone would.

But my parents wouldn't.

"-a parent." I amended. Maybe mine were parents, but they weren't most. So he was merely an ordinary parent.

"You said that you only collect and turn in your homework in the mornings, right? You're actually going to go to school, as yourself?" He asked, squinting at me.

I saw the flaw to my plan and quickly thought of a solution to fix it.

"School's tomorrow, you know. If you don't want people to know who you are, you'd better think of something quick." He raised both eyebrows as if I wasn't good at thinking this stuff up already.

"Nah," I grinned at him and led him to my door.

"I'll figure it out." I said, pressing a light kiss on his cheek. He turned my face around so he ended up kissing me full on the lips.

His lips were moving as if he was scared to let go of me. As if I was going to drift away like a balloon from a child's hands. As if I'll float up and the people sitting on airplane's window seats will see me and wonder how a blown up piece of rubber and plastic managed to fly so high.

"Goodnight, Skyler." He smiled softly, kissing my forehead one more time before leaving.

I grinned to myself then shut the door. But after that moment of bliss, I sank to the ground.

I buried my face in my hands and my hair draped over my face. Turns out I didn't need my hands at all. Plus, no one was even around to see me. Maybe it was just a reflex, human or celebrity.

"His father hates me. His mom loves me I guess. Caprina is supposed to be the one he dates and Hunter probably thinks I'm the stupidest person ever." I said to myself, slightly shouting as I got up.

"I'm a model. His dad hates that. His mom is fine with it. Caprina thinks I'm psycho. Hunter thinks I'm normal. Jay thinks I'm going to go to school." I said numbly, trying to fill a glass up with water.

My hands were shaking so hard that I accidentally dropped it in my sink. It shattered into millions of tiny, glittery pieces.

I ran into my living room and fumbled for my clutch.

"Zack, Zack. I need you." I mumbled, taking out my phone and almost dropping it four times as I dialed.

It rang three times before he picked up. "Hello?" He asked, papers shuffling in the background. "Zack, can you come over?" I asked, my lip trembling.
