#Sorry, Kittybear14. I sincerely tried to get this up before midnight, but the cards were not in my favor. #
***First off, that gif isn't really connected to the chapter, but doesn't it just look cool? I mean, it's Captain Levi! XD Two, I think there are two chapters left after this. Yes, I know, but don't fret. I think I want to do a continuation - or something 'Sword Art Online' related. Yes, I'm late to the SAO party, but Japan's late with Season Two of Attack on Titan, so bite me!***
Levi's POV
"Where's Erwin now?"
"In his office. He's being kept busy with plans for the next expedition; they came last minute."
"Perfect."
Levi held his blade down hard as the wheel continued to turn.
"I need him distracted for a little longer, and then we can end this."
"Are you sure this is wise, Captain?"
Levi looked up from his work and asked, "Why wouldn't it be?"
"There are chains of command for a reason" Moblit explained, "Erwin has the highest position in the Survey Corps, but he isn't the highest in the military. Just climb the ladder."
"Moblit, I need to explain something to you."
Levi got up from his seat, blade in hand. With the sharp flick of a wrist, the blade barely missed Moblit's throat, and Levi said, "If you try to kill someone once and fail, you're frustrated. If you try twice and you fail, now you're frustrated and psychotic. Erwin won't quit. No chain of command can keep his hatred in check, and even if they could, Erwin would make life for Hanji in the Survey Corps extremely difficult. I won't coddle her, but I refuse to watch Hanji suffer because Erwin's lost his mind."
"But there's no guarantee you'll go unscathed, Captain. I'm not talking about getting killed because I have faith in your skills. I'm talking about losing your job."
"I won't lose it."
"You are about to kill someone deliberately, Captain! I highly doubt Judge Zackly is going to let that slide when you could've easily informed a higher up."
"I've never done things conventionally before" Levi reasoned as he sheathed his sword, "Why should I now? Now, stop bugging me. You sound like a mentally scrambled grandma."
Levi went back to his work, his forehead barely creased. Moblit had a point, but he was a man of his word.

"I heard another expedition is coming up."
Levi's face stay stoic as Erwin began to talk, but, inside, he was seething.
"Yes" Erwin replied, "Higher ups want more information on the Titans, but think that studying the Titans like Hanji was is a wasteful extension of...Levi, what's wrong?"
"What?"
"You look like I'm boring you. What's up?"
Levi shrugged, and said, "It's nothing. I was just thinking of Hanji, is all. Don't worry, though. I'm focused."
"Levi, this expedition leaves tonight; we didn't have time to waste. Will you be ready to go with the rest of the soldiers?"
The longer the 3DMG hung from his hips, the more impatient Levi became. All he could think was 'Just kill him!', but, as angry as he was, it was imperative that patience played into this act.
