"I'm coming!" I say as I walk over to the door of the café, unlocking it so Shawn can come in, then shutting it once he entered.

"Do you have fun on the night shift?" Shawn asks, and I groan.

"As long as my coffee cup is filled, it's a good night." I reply, admiring him as he chuckles.

"Do you have muffins though?" Shawn asks shyly, and I laugh as I reach over to the counter, a muffin waiting.

"How did I know you were going to ask that?" I tell him as he reaches for the muffin, and shrugs, then taking a bite.

"This is delicious, Olivia. Probably reason number one-thousand of why I like you."

"One thousand?" I ask, raising an eyebrow.

"There are more, but I don't have enough time to say them all to you."

"That's okay, I'm sure they're all great things. Anyways, what do you want to do? We could watch cheesy soap operas." I tell him, and he looks around the room before making eye contact with me.

"The possibilities are endless when you're in an empty café with a beautiful girl." Shawn says, and I swear my stomach does thirty summersaults.

However, as much as I wanted to do what he was thinking, I couldn't. Instead, I smirk and quickly kiss his cheek, then getting up and going to the closet.

"We can watch soap operas, eat all the Cheeto's in this closet, play board games, g-"

"Board games!" Shawn says enthusiastically, and I laugh, reaching for the board games.

"Chutes and Ladders sound good to you?" I ask, pulling out the game.

"Are you kidding me, I practically own that game, I'm amazing at it." Shawn tells me, and I smile, bringing the box over to him and pulling out the board, along with the characters.

"I want to be the guy with the blue hair." Shawn instantly says when he spots the character, and I smirk, reaching for my character.

"Then I'll be the girl with blue hair."

"I just want you to know that after I demolish you in this game, I hope you'll still love me." Shawn says, and I roll my eyes.

"Yeah, right. I could probably beat you in everything, except music wise. Chutes and Ladders will just give you a taste of how sad you'll feel when you're crushed by the one and only Olivia Roth."

"I'm Shawn Mendes, victory runs in my blood."

"Who's Shawn Mendes?" I ask, and he gives me a dead look, causing me to giggle.

"Let's just play the game so your tears come quickly and I can dry them off."

"I can dry my own tears, thanks." I tell him.

"Stop deflecting all my moves. If I win you're coming over to my hotel room and I can flirt with you the whole time without you turning me down." Shawn says, and I raise my eyebrows at him before his face turns red.

"Oh- I mean- no- we won't- I-" He stutters, and I laugh loudly, then smiling.

"You're too cute. It's a shame I'm going to win."

"You're on." Shawn says, determined to make sure I lose.

Too bad that's not going to happen.

"I want a rematch!"

"Nope, I won!" Shawn says excitedly, and I groan.

"Okay, yeah, but still. I didn't know you were actually good at the game." I try arguing, and Shawn gives me a delighted smile and shrugs.

"I played it all the time with my sister when I was younger, and after the years you become amazing at the game I guess. You almost had me convinced that you were going to win though."

"Can we do best two out of three?" I ask, and he laughs, shaking his head no.

"We could, but that would only embarrass you more. Is my flirting really that bad anyways?" He asks, and I take a moment before responding.

"You could use some work." I tell him with a slight smile. Shawn looks offended, and I raise my hands up in surrender.

"Actually, I'm a great flirt. The ladies love it."

"Obviously, since I'm absolutely dying to be in your arms right now." I say sarcastically, even though it was true.

"At least I don't use terrible pick-up lines." Shawn says, and I slowly scoot closer.

"Okay, true. But the way you flirt is even worse than pick-up lines. What's your best pick-up line anyways?"

Shawn clears his throat before saying, "Are you a beaver? Because damn."

"Wow that was terrible." I mumble, and he gives me a smirk, then scooting a little closer to me.

"It's not about my pick-up lines, it's about what gets you to meet me at Tim Horton's with the lights off."

"And play children's board games." I finish for him. He puts his hand on my thigh which makes me scream inside.

"But we aren't doing that anymore, are we?" Shawn asks, his voice now in a low whisper. I finally notice what he's doing and try my best not to smile when I trace his arm.

"You know what Shawn? I think I am looking forward to your hotel room."

"Why wait?" Shawn asks, and for a moment I think he's serious before I remember what he was trying to do.

I put my hand on his back loosely, and then trace his jawline with my other hand. His strange flirtatious grands drops and his eyes widen slightly before giving me a slight smile, actually thinking that this was real.

I lean over to his ear, our cheeks touching, when I softly whisper to him.

"Not today, Shawn."

I kiss his cheek and let him go, resuming to my normal position with a smile.

"Don't try to outflirt the flirt master." I tell him, and he gives me a pout.

"That was teasing, not flirting."

"You started it." I reply, and shrug. I look at the time, and my eyes widen.

"Hey, it's three am. My shift is over, and you've got to go to sleep."

Shawn looks at me for a moment, silent, almost as if he wanted to do something. But whatever that was he cancelled it out of his head and got up, putting his phone in his pocket as I put away Chutes and Ladders. As we walk out together and Shawn is about to turn left and I turn right, I stop him by grabbing his hand.

"Text me your hotel room number." I tell him, and that brings a smile to his face.

"I will. Goodnight Olivia." Shawn says, and I grin at him.

"Goodnight Shawn."

As I'm walking home, I can only wonder what could have happened if I hadn't stopped the teasing.
