"Olivia, smile at the camera!"
"Over here Olivia!"
I give a wide grin to all the cameras, making sure that I hit most of them before giving a short wave goodbye and walking away, a bodyguard by my side.
This was all surreal. Everything happened so fast, if I have to be honest here. Before everything, when the first rumor started, word got out about me, and surprisingly it took a turn up. At least, for me it did.
I continue to walk, my heels clipping and my hair swaying back and forth in its high ponytail. I spot the car and walk towards it, then opening the back to find the one girl who had stuck with me from the beginning.
"Alright, so now that you're officially twenty, the big two-oh, let's celebrate! I'm thinking champagne, the expensive kind, and numerous hot men, for me of course, I know how you like to keep your eyes on one guy. Let me think, we can text Nora and see if she has any ideas."
"Nora's too busy looking at colleges, I wouldn't bother her. That last thing I heard from that girl was 'be stale or go to Yale.' She's not messing around." I say, and my best friend nods.
"So how's Jack? Being the best boyfriend he can be?" I laugh, and nod my head.
"As always, what's new?" I say, lying. Jack and I broke up a week ago, because I caught him with another girl. I didn't really like him anyways, and I had no clue how we got in the relationship in the first place. But now we were keeping the fact we broke up a secret, for now. The media would not react well.
"Besides that little something on your neck you probably got from him? Not much." I instantly cover my neck, my mouth wide open in shock and embarrassment.
"I'm kidding, I'm only kidding." She tells me, and I relax, exhaling a breath I never knew I was holding until now.
"Alright, so this afternoon, what are we going to do? We need some girl time before you go back to New York, and I'm sure LA has a bunch of wonderful spas just waiting for us."
"Actually, and I'm super sorry, but I have to do that interview with Kandy, remember? We can reschedule though, right? Because I'm totally free tomorrow, besides a little drop at the studio."
She's extremely quiet for a moment, before finally responding. "Yeah, I could deal with tomorrow. But you're paying for the spa."
"My treat." I tell her, laughing. We continue to have small talk as my phone buzzes every now and then, most of the notifications being happy birthday texts of some sort.
"So, I totally know that Kandy's studio is an hour away, but I kind of forgot my phone at my place, so do you know if we can maybe..."
"Is that okay with you, Mike?" I ask, and he nods, changing his direction. Mike usually didn't drive us, but since my car was kind of under maintenance, Mike offered to drive me. And it's not like he was going out of his way either. Since he was my security guard, he would be at Kandy's show with me.
After turning back around, getting he phone, and going back on our way, we found ourselves in front of Kandy's studio.
I had been here several times, but I always knew what we would be doing. This time, I hadn't had time to check the email, so all I knew was that we would speak about my new single, Dream, and there would be another guest with an influential song as well.
