From last chapter...

Astrid stumbled a bit but caught her balance after clutching the smooth texture of the railing. She scowled at him before running up the stairs.

"Oh, and Astrid?" He said and she stopped. "I'll call you by your real name, Desa."

When Desa heard the familiar name she smiled and turned to look at her brother.

"You too, Ulysses." Was what she said before turning to race down the hall.

"But something's wrong. Why my sister first then me, Memory Keeper?" He said with a confused expression.

《With Lona

Lona was sitting comfortably on the couch when the doorbell kept ringing repeatedly. "God, what did I ever do to the world?" Lona grumbled as she got up from the couch and went to open the front door.

When she opened it, there she found was Cyrus swaying slightly and her eyes were glazed over but all in all, Cyrus didn't have a single bruise nor scratch on her creamy skin. Lona immediately caught Cyrus in her arms and she slightly dragged Cyrus onto the couch she was once on. Lona went to a closet and got out a fluffy comforter and laid it across Cyrus's sleeping figure. She stared at her best friend in worry and confusion. Something clicked in her head. When she first came home she didn't remember Cyrus but when her so called past self popped up she remembered. Strange.

But with doubt in her mind, she let go of the subject and got up to go get ready some food and new clothes for Cyrus. While getting ready Cyrus's clothes she found a note in her friend's drawer.

It said:

Please! Find the Memory Keeper! Get your memories back and go to your homeland, fast! Before they murder-

Was all it said before being smudged with ink. Lona stuffed the weird note into her pocket and took out the clothes. The outfit was made up of a plain black tank-top, ripped jean shorts, and a pair of purple stockings since Lona knew Cyrus loved the color purple. When she got back to Cyrus she found her sitting up on the couch with her hand rubbing her aching head. She rushed to her best friend's side and began to massage her head.

"Are you alright?" Lona asked.

"Yeah... But what happened? All I remember is me getting kidnapped and...tortured?" Cyrus asked in pure worry.

"It's okay, shh. You have a headache. So don't push yourself." Lona said to her friend while continuing to massage Cyrus's forehead.

While in deep thought, Cyrus thought about how long she thought she was gone for.

"Hey, Lona?" Cyrus asked, looking up. "How long was I gone for? Was I only gone for a day?"

Shock, tears, and guilt were welling up inside Lona as she answered her once missing best friend.

"No, you were gone for more than five weeks. I'm sorry I couldn't save you! But I'm glad you found your way home again." Finally, the gathering tears in Lona's eyes spilled over and blurred her vision. The tears rolled down her face and onto Cyrus's cheeks. Cyrus didn't care that tears were falling on her because her own tears were streaming down.

Cyrus raised her arms and sat up to hug her friend. Even though there was a terrible ringing in her head she had to calm down Lona. To Cyrus, Lona's feelings were more precious to her than her own health.

Upsettingly, the moment after Lona stopped crying, she felt Cyrus go limp and Cyrus's heartbeat was going erratic. In a rush, she pulled Cyrus's head on her lap and placed her head on Cyrus's chest to check on her heart. Unfortunately, Lona didn't know much about medical procedures but she tried to use her powers on Cyrus to slow down her heartbeat. Slightly panicking, her heart also was seemingly so loud in her ears, that she could barely her the whimpers of pain from her friend.

《In Cyrus's Mind

Cyrus was quickly and roughly grabbing at her chest because of the overwhelming pain of her heart going in a frenzy. Fresh tears began to spill over onto the pitch black floor that didn't seem to be made up of anything but nothingness.

"Help... I was found... I'm... Sorry I couldn't save you in our past lives or present...." Cyrus raised her head and tried to ignore the pain in her chest. The voice, it sounded familiar. So broken and sad, pity formed in her as she heard it drifting away. In her head she felt a nagging feeling of longing when she heard the fading voice.

"I could never forget that moment... I saw you cry... All the time... But my mind was purged of cruelty..." Cyrus choked with sobs ripping through her mouth. She knew, her happiness wouldn't last so long. It never would.

"I'm glad, my wish was granted... Goodbye-...." Cyrus cried out, holding her head and chest, the physical pain she felt on her heart was not as painful as the emotional pain she felt. She now remembers, in her past life, every moment. Now, remade into another chance in life.

She knew, her time of repent was starting.

She lost someone so very dear to her.

Cyrus had enough, hiding and pretending cannot redo what she and the others lived through.

It is the time to brake the Chain of Secrets.
