Cedric Diggory's Little Sister

Chapter 6

*****Joseph's POV*****

***4 months later***

I run down the Grand Staircase and into the Great Hall. I spot Cedric sitting beside Rosalyn as she writes stuff down for him. I walk toward them and sit on the opposite side of Rosa than Cedric. I wrap an arm around my sister and wave to Cedric. They give me a smile as Rosa sets the quill down and passes the parchment to Ced. He pats Rosa on the back and reads it over. I look over to the Gryffindor table to see Harry staring at Rosa. I nudge her and point to the boy. She looks at him and creates a simple orangey-yellow rose. She pulls a glove off and hands the flower to the vine. She sends it over to the Gryffindor table and I soon see the vine tap on Harry's shoulder. He turns in confusion and is passed the rose. The vines retract to Rosa and she slips her glove back on. Lydia and Kayla burst into giggles across the table and the three girls walk away. I quickly say goodbye to Cedric and head over to Harry. "You like my sister?" I question, pointing to the rose. He nods and stares at the rose.

I walk with Harry and Ron into dueling club to see Rosa talking to a group of girls. Lockheart walks onto the platform with Snape and looks around.

After a very boring demonstration from the Professors they pick a few to Duel. "Rosalyn Diggory! I want you to be the first from Hufflepuff!" Snape calls. My eyes widen in shock as she walks up, pulling her gloves off. "Fred Weasley! Come on up! This should be easy for you!" Lockheart yells. Fred laughs and runs up. They talk to the Professor that called them up for a minute then get in position. I see the vines growing on the stage as Rosa grins at him. After they are lifted a few feet high on the vines they are told to start. I watch in shock as Rosa sinks into the vines quickly and vines wrap around Fred's legs at a fast rate. Rosa pops up behind him and points her wand at him. "Expelliarmus!" Rosa yells and Fred's wand flies into her hand. Fred is released by the vines and he turns to my sister in shock. "That's not fair!" He whines. "Life isn't fair, Freddie. But you learn to live with it." Rosa states, retracting all her vines. She passes his wand back and skips back to her group. I turn to Harry to see him staring at her in awe. "Harry Potter! You're up next!" Lockheart calls. "Draco Malfoy! Get up here!" Snape calls back. Malfoy runs up and looks toward my sister. "If I win this, you have to join me for a date." He calls to her. "I'd rather die!" Rosa snaps at him. His face falls and he heads over to Snape.

I watch in horror as the snake moves quickly toward sister as Harry speaks a different language. I run as fast as I can toward her as it begins to snap at her. I grab a hold of her arm and pull her away from Harry and the snake. She cuddles into me and begins crying as Snape gets rid of the snake. I send a glare at Harry. "That's enough for today! See you next time!" Lockheart calls out and I carry Rosa out of there. I see Cedric running after me as I disappear from the room.

Cedric and I sit beside Rosa as we try to stop her crying. Soon she closes her eyes and falls asleep. Cedric lifts her up and we head back inside. I head to the Great Hall as Cedric takes Rosa to their Common Room. I step over to the Gryffindor table and sit beside Hermione. Harry looks at me with sad eyes. "I don't know what you were playing at but stay away from Rosalyn." I snap. He looks down and I feel a hand on my shoulder as sparks shoot through me. I look up to see Lydia looking at me with a small smile. "Is Rosa okay after earlier? I've been worried sick about her." She asks. I nod. "She fell asleep after crying for a few hours. But Cedric took her to the Common Room not long ago." I explain. She nods and places a kiss on my cheek before heading back to Kayla and her friends and heading to the Common Room with them.

***2 weeks later***

I watch as Harry tries to talk to Rosa but the same language as before comes out and she walks away quickly. I shake my head and run after her.

Harry pulls us into an empty classroom and closes the door quickly. "I need help getting a date with Rosalyn." He states. I scoff and glare at him. "Why should I help you. A snake you were communicating with nearly sunk it's fangs into her. Also she's my sister. Get her to forgive you and I'll tell you how to win her over." I state. He nods and I head out. I walk into the library to see Rosa helping Cedric with his homework while a crowd of boys stand around them. I push through them and sit down beside my twin.

*****Rosalyn's POV*****

***1 week later***

I'm pulled into a dark classroom and someone holds me in a tight hug. "Rosalyn. Please hear me out?" Harry's voice whispers in my ear. "Go ahead and talk then." I state. "At Dueling club with the snake. I was telling it to leave you alone and bite me instead but it didn't want to listen. I care about you Rosalyn. I hate seeing you cry. I hate seeing you hurt. I hate seeing you scared that I'll hurt you. Please forgive me Rosalyn." Harry states. "Rosa." I state. "What?" He questions in confusion. "You can call me Rosa if you want to. Alot of people in Hufflepuff do." I explain. He nods and pulls me into a hug.
