Chapter 10
Ainsley
Nathan and I sprint towards the Pumpkin Watch and I’m grateful that he keeps a pace that I can keep up with; sometimes being short can be an inconvenience. Getting there, I spot a worried Ms. Taylor and I let out the breath that I didn’t realize I was holding when I see Emma holding Sophie. Also with them are Payton, Alexander, and Shawn and I want to cry with joy that they are all safe.
Walking over to Ms. Taylor, I ask, “What’s going on? I heard there was a missing child.”
“Oh God! There is a missing four year old girl and she has been gone for twenty minutes and…” She pauses and I follow her gaze to a woman who is freaking out and I know that it’s the mother of the little girl.
Running over to her, I ask, “Mam’ what is your daughter’s name?”
“Sarah, Sarah Rose Leigh. Oh God; why her, why my baby? She never wanders away; what if someone took her?” She screams and I grab her hands and focus on comforting her done.
“Listen, you need to breathe; ok. Do have a picture of Sarah on you now; something resent?” I ask softly and she quickly digs through her purse.
Giving me the pictures, I turn towards Ms. Taylor and say, “Go make copies and pass them around. Call the police and make sure that no one leaves. Hopefully she is in the area and not too far.”
Taking a picture that shows Sarah’s face completely, I walk over to the kids and ask, “Show me the school’s cafeteria.”
By now Jonah, Donnie, and the twins joined us and we walk quickly towards the cafeteria while everyone else is looking for Sarah. My plan is to detract everyone while, I find Sarah.
Once there, Nathan asks, “What are you doing?”
“I’m going to do a spell that will locate Sarah.” I answer as I snap my fingers and my chest from under my bed appears.
“AWWE, HOLY FUCK!” Asher yells like a girl and I give him the evil eye before he mumbles an apology.
Sighing, I get my key from around my neck and unlock the chest pulling out four blue candles, a goblet, a large flask of natural water and Jasmine, Lotus, and Sandalwood incense. Placing the candles North, South, East, and West around me, I sit in the middle of the circle facing the west and fill the goblet with the water.
“Guys keep a look out and I need total quiet. If you think you’ll get uncomfortable leave now, I can’t be disturbed or this won’t work.” I say and the guys block the door, but no one leaves.
“Alright then, let’s do this.” I say and I wave my hands over each candle and they flicker with fire.
Taking the incense, I light each one and lay them around me. The goblet is in front of me and I pull towards the energy of the water. Closing my eyes, I ground myself before taking my middle finger and 2nd finger on my right hand, and swirl it around in the water clockwise four times, starting with the west side and ending with the west side.
