Chapter 25

Ainsley

Nathan, Jonah, Donnie, and I are wide awake in the kitchen when the sun rises. After I told Nathan about my version, he woke Jonah and Donnie before we met up in the kitchen.

“So your visions; are they often come true?” Jonah asks with hope in his eyes.

Sighing, I answer, “Most of the time they are, but there are times where the outcomes can change.”

“So this guy killed Jericho without touching him?” Donnie asks and I nod my head.

Nathan looks at me and says, “From your reaction, it’s bad when a wizard kills someone with their mind.”

“He’s dark and powerful; two bad combos in the magic world. You see when a wizard or witch surrenders their powers for black magic; they lose all types of humanity. Also it’s hard to fight them let alone to kill them.” I answer sadly.

Shaking his head, Nathan asks, “How does a wizard or witch turn dark?”

“They proclaim their souls to either Satan or mostly demons who give extra them power. Then they use it for evil and this Donovan wants complete control over power.” I reply and we are silent for a few minutes.

“How do we stop him?” Donnie asks softly.

Looking at them all, I answer, “I don’t know, but I will find out. I think we need to head back home; all my visions come true a week after I have them. Also I think the kids should stay here.”

“I don’t know if that’s a good idea?” Jonah asks worriedly.

Nathan nods his head and answers, “Yeah I think its best; if we are about to have a war, I don’t want them anywhere close. Especially with a wizard who turned dark using neighboring pack to gain power.”

“Molly and Joseph get back in a few days until then they can stay at the Cranford’s. I don’t like leaving them, but I have a horrible feeling about this and I have a feeling it’s going to get bad really quickly.” I answer and Jonah agrees.

After that Nathan went to make some calls to Joseph while I called the Mr. Cranford. I explained how there is a sudden problem back home and Nathan and I don’t want the kids to face it just yet. He happy agrees to watch them until Molly gets back and was on his way to pick them up.

Sighing to myself, now was the hard part; telling the kids. It’s a little past seven now so I begin making breakfast, hoping the smell would wake them. After I begin making the pancakes; one by one, the kids file down the stairs in their pajamas.

When everyone is sited minus Nathan and Jonah, I begin, “Guys there is a problem back home and Nathan and I feel it’s best if you all stay down here for another week or so.”

“What’s going on?” Emma asks softly.

Looking around the table, I see the worry in their eyes as I answer, “It’s complicated, but it’s nothing that can’t be handle. We just don’t want y’all to get involved.”

“Is it the guy who was with Jericho that day?” Payton asks and I look at Donnie who is just as surprised as me.

“He has something to do with it.” I honestly answer.

Right then Nathan and Jonah walks in, we look at Nathan as he says, “Its settled guys, you will stay with Mr. and Mrs. Cranford until Molly and Joseph gets back from their honeymoon.”

“What’s going on Nate? We have a right to know.” Ashton asks and Asher agrees.

“There is a possible threat from Jericho and his pack; also there is a dark wizard who is influencing him. Ainsley and I feel it’s best if you all stay here until we figure out what’s going on and I don’t want anyone fighting me on this; it’s for the best.” He answers in a stern voice.
