"She doing any better?" I asked the doctor as she came in the room

"She doing any better?" I asked the doctor as she came in the room

"Nope, still the same," she responded. "She hasn't made any improvements in her health and she's been here for over three years Mr. Thomas. Which is what I want to talk to you about.

I looked from the bed back over to the doctor and nodded my head for her to continue.

"Since Ms. Walker isn't improving maybe you should just think about letting her go. She's just sitting here and has been sitting here for three years and nothing is changing. I'd rather her be--"

"She's still living ain't she?" I questioned interrupting her.

"Yes, but--"

"Then she will continue to be here hooked up to all these machines and y'all will continue to get my money, until I'm ready to let go. Is there anymore you would like to talk to me about?"

"No sir." She replied then turned around and left the room. I stood up from the chair that was sitting against the wall and walked over to the bed. Other than the noise from the machines, it was dead silent.

"You still playin' sleep huh? Even when we ain't together you still find a way to spend up all my money." I chuckled a little.

I stared in her face for a while hoping for something to happen. I wanted to see her blink, move her hand, show me anything to let me know I was doing the right thing by keeping her here all this time. That I wasn't being selfish and that I was doing this for her. She was still here for a reason because if she wasn't she would have died that night right? I wasn't there to help her then but I was here now. And even though I was locked up for a while I still made sure she was straight.

Arielle had basically been in a coma since the night she was shot. No one in the hospital thought she would make it from the way the bullet had hit her, but she was a strong woman, she was still alive; she just hasn't woken up yet.

"Thanks for meeting me." I greeted Brandon and dapped him pulling him into a half hug.

"No problem," he responded. "How she doing?" He wondered asking about Ari.

"Same shit, different day. Is all I can say. The doctor talking about taking her off those machines and just lettin' her go, but you know I ain't here for that shit."
