-Michael's POV-

"See you later, Calum!" I say with a small wave.

"Bye, Mike! Have a good evening. I'll see you tomorrow?" Calum asks with a grin.

"Yeah, totally." I agree and give him one last smile before heading back to Jack's office to say good bye.

"Hey Jack, I'm heading out now. Sorry I wasn't around too much." I tell him a little sheepishly.

"Hey, no worries! I gave you permission to help Calum anyway." he tells me with a small smile. "Before you go, though, I was wondering if you were coming to the party?"

I look at him a little confused and tilt my head slightly.

"Erm, what party, sir?" I ask him. He gives me his own look of confusion.

"Did Luke not tell you about the party?" he asks surprised.

"No, what party?"

"Well, next week Oracle is holding a going away party for one of the workers. I assumed you would be coming since Luke is." he tells me. I furrow my eyebrows and I feel myself get a little angry at Luke. I honestly thought we would be past all this. He never lets me go to parties because he thinks someone is going to "scoop me up onto their díck". Get real Luke.

"I'll ask him about it." I tell Jack and with that I leave his office. I stroll down the hallway to take the stairs. Might as well get some exercise, am I right? I pull out my phone to see if I had any notifications and noticed I had none. I stopped walking for a moment before my eyes widened in panic.

"Fuçk!" I yell to no one in particular and I freeze in place. I haven't seen Luke all day and he hasn't texted me or called. He's going to be so pissed at me. I feel my chest tightening as the fear rises up inside of me and the though of Luke fuming is enough to make me stay at work. However, I have no other way home so I guess I'll just have to face him eventually. I swallow thickly and walk slowly out of the office building. I should just get the yelling over with and then maybe I'll stay at my parents tonight instead so Luke can cool off. I shiver slightly as I spot him sitting in his car and I feel like I'm going to burst into tears. I've never actually ignored Luke at least not like I did today. I'm usually so good at remembering when I need to meet him or making sure I always have my phone on me so he doesn't freak out about my whereabouts.

I begin holding my breath as I near his car. Luke still hasn't spotted me as he's too busy looking down at his phone but he has an angry expression on his face.

"I'm so dead." I mumble to myself as I agonizingly push myself towards his car. I open the door and slide in slowly all while not breathing.

"How was your day?" he asks me immediately with anger evident in his voice. I keep quiet because I fear if I say anything he's going to explode. We had been working so hard on him trusting me and letting me be more independent but somehow I think that's been all thrown out the door right now.

"Fine?" I squeak out but it sounds more like a question. I'm as far away from Luke as I can be because for the first time ever I feel like he might smack me upside the head.

"Was it so fine that you forgot to meet me at lunch?" he shouts suddenly and I hand my head in shame and guilt.

"I d-didn't mean to, I swear!" I rush to tell him.
