Not Dead

This theory is a bit loose but it's worth a mention.

Remember in episode 3 when Magnus or Ellegaard dies? We know it was tragic, but is it possible that... Both of them are still alive?

Okay, according in this theory, Magnus / Ellegaard didn't die, it was the order THOUGHT they're dead. Here are the evidence.

1. They didn't turn into smoke.

Every minecrafter knows then a mob / player dies, they'll evaporate into smoke and 'poof!', gone from Minecraft existence. And it can be proven in episode 6.

But in Magnus / Ellegaard's death scene, they didn't turn into smoke, they just closed their eyes! It doesn't mean they've died, maybe they just fainted.

2. Minecraft: Story Mode Wiki

In MCSM Wikipedia's list of characters, Magnus and Ellegaard are labeled 'Determinant'. In the website, 'Determinant' is when player actions determine the final status of the character, not their life and death.

Could Magnus / Ellegaard woke up in the woods and ran off after Jesse's gang and the Witherstrom left?

Where had they gone?

3. Portals

Now, a lot of questions were asked after the release of episode 5. People suspect that the portals are somehow related to the members of the Order.

In the last theory, we theorized where did Soren go after the events of episode 4 and we concluded that he might fled Sky City and went through the portal. What if the same thing happened to Magnus / Ellegaard?

Our Theory

When Magnus / Ellegaard was attacked by the Witherstorm, it's tentacle hit them so hard, causing them to go into a coma. They thought they're dying so they told the gang their last words. Everyone else thought they're dead so they left their body in the woods and ran.

Magnus / Ellegaard woke up in the woods. They had no idea what happened while they were in a coma, so they wandered in the woods and somehow managed to find a portal to go to the portal corridor.
