Taylor

I couldn't understand why on earth this girl kept saying she was a "fan." I began to get scared. Was she going to hurt me?

My breathing sped up. I could see the fear in her eyes as well.

"Taylor..." Violet said.

I took another step away from her. I didn't know what she was going to do.

"Do you really not remember me at all?" Violet asked. "I've met you before. You followed me..."

"No, I've never seen you before." I responded.

I still felt the intense camera flashes hitting me, but I didn't see any paparazzi.

Violet began to unzip her sweatshirt. Underneath was a bright red t-shirt.

"Do you remember this?" She asked.

I studied the shirt. It said the word "RED" on it. There was a picture of someone wearing black shorts and a white "I love LA" shirt.

"Umm..." I said to show that I didn't remember.

"Do you know who that is?" She asked again, motioning to the blonde-haired girl on the shirt.

I thought about it. The girl looked familiar.

Then I realized.

It was me.

"Is that..." I started, finding myself at a loss of words. "Is that me?" I asked cautiously.

Violet managed a slight smile, and some of the fear in her eyes escaped.

"Yes! You remember!" She squealed.

"Remember what?" I asked.

"The Red tour in Los Angeles!" She squealed again.

"What's a 'Red Tour'?" I asked in complete confusion.

"Oh." Her face dropped again. "It was basically where a whole bunch of fans -thousands of them- would gather together to watch you sing live. You travelled around the world and performed for us." She explained.

"I, uhh, I don't remember doing that." I said.

"Wow, that simulation really messed up your brain, didn't it?" She said under her breath, but I heard her anyways.

I tilted my head to the side.

"What's a simulation?" I asked.

"Crap. You really don't remember what happened in the past five or so hours?" Violet asks me.

I think about it. What have I done today? All I remember is walking to a big, glass building and sitting in a chair. After that, I don't remember anything.

"All I remember is leaving my apartment and walking into that building." I say as I point to the large glass building.

Violet

I nod my head at Taylor's response. Why were her side effects so much worse than everyone else's? Most people forgot about one -maybe two- things or people they really loved. But Taylor forgot about everything. She forgot about the fans, her career, her tours, her music, even what happened in her simulation. She just forgot.
