Don't forget to comment! I love hearing your thoughts and suggestions.

Violet

And then the lights went out.

I heard Taylor scream from beside me, and I assumed she was screaming because of the sudden change in lighting.

But then I felt my muscles begin to relax, and I could control my movements again, so I turned my head to look at her.

I nearly screamed as well when I saw. Standing beside Justin, my father, was my mother.

"B-but, you're, you're dead!" Taylor said, stuttering over her words.

"That's what you thought." Justin said with a smirk.

"Mom! I've missed you so much!" I screamed, taking a few quick steps forward and wrapping my arms around her.

She tensed when I hugged her, and didn't remove her arms from her sides.

I stepped back, understanding that she was uncomfortable.

"How've you been? Are you okay? I haven't see you in, well, forever!" I exaggerated.

My mom didn't move, she didn't respond, she didn't smile. She didn't even look me in the eye.

Then I saw Taylor take a step forward.

"Selena... It's been too long!" She exclaimed.

My mom continued to stare straight ahead.

Justin's smirk grew wider.

I glared at him with tears brimming my eyes, as I struggled to find words.

"What did you do to my mother?" I said quietly, as my throat was choked up from tears.

"Me? What would I have done?" He said in his innocent voice that was so unbelievably fake.

"Why'd you tell us she is dead when she clearly is not? You're obviously up to something." Taylor pointed out.

"We all know that I'm up to something, you just don't know what I'm up to." He said very matter-of-factly.

With every word he said, I hated him even more.

"Just tell us what your intentions are. It's not like we could share your secrets with the world, we are stuck here. You have us under mind control, after all." I said.

"I don't think you want to know." Justin said.

Selena tensed slightly at his words.

"I want to know." I said.

"So do I. Tell us, Bieber." Taylor retorted.

"Well, where should I start? With making the whole world hate you, or with tricking you into thinking someone actually cares? I honestly didn't think that penny would work. Just shows how far stupidity can go." He said to Taylor.

My mind was turning. I threw the penny, not him. My mom made that penny for me, not for him. This isn't adding up.

"I know what you're thinking, Violet. You're the one who threw the coin. Selena, your mom, made that for you. She gave it to you. So how would this add up? Well, to be honest, it doesn't. At least, it doesn't make sense. Not to you, anyways. And it shouldn't make sense to you. If everything went according to plan, and I'm assuming it did, your whole past was altered. You don't remember a thing." He said.

If everything went according to plan? What's that supposed to mean?

"What?" Taylor said before I got the chance to. "What are you talking about?"

"That's for me to know and you to wonder." He responded mysteriously.

We all stayed quiet for a moment, considering his words.

I looked at Selena, who looked beyond uncomfortable in this situation.

I saw Justin give her a glare, then he leaned in and whispered four words into her ear.

Four words that made me shiver.

Four words that made me lose every ounce of respect I ever had for my father.

"Don't tell them anything."
