"But what's wrong?" Taylor asks frantically, understanding the situation perfectly.

"He... That's his fake name. My mom told me about it before she left. She said, if you ever hear that name somewhere, run. Go. That is your fathers horrible code name. It means Cunning and Smart in some other language that we don't know. His real name is Justin. Remember that."

Her eyes widen as I say this.

"Justin. Justin." She repeats over and over. "That sounds too familiar and when I hear that name I get some sort of pit in my stomach."

I gulp. What does she know?

"Who is your mother?" She asks curiously.

"Selena Marie Gomez." I state robotically, having learned this since I was little, in case MindTravel ever made her forget. I couldn't forget, and my mother never did.

"SELENA!" Taylor squeals and stops the car. "She was an old friend of mine! I think... I think we fought! I think I remember!" She stares at me with wide eyes, and I shrug, clueless of what she's rambling on about.

"Yeah. Uh, I don't know actually."

"Wait, what? How do you not know your own mothers friendships?" She asks incredulously.

"She never really told me anything. Well, in that matter of course. She told me a lot of things, back when everything was normal, like who I was and how to bake chocolate chip cookies and how to act around boys I like."

I smile at the thought of me and mom just sitting around the couch with hot cocoa when I was little and talking about my imaginary boyfriends. I had so many. I laugh at this and Taylor keeps driving.

"So, who was Justin?" She asks herself. I answer anyways.

"My dad. I think I might remember his last name, would that help?" I ask her.

"Maybe, I don't know. Try to remember, did Sel ever tell you?"

"No. But I think I heard of him once. Beaver? Something like that." Her eyes bulge out a bit and she skids the car to the side of the road when she hears this name.

"Beaver? You mean BEIBER? I know who that is!" She growls.

"You do?" I ask incredulously, taken aback by her sudden outburst.

"Yes of course I do!" She snaps at me, then immediately turns to hug me. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say it that way. It's just.... He did all of this and I knew him. I met him the same place I met Selena, I mean your mom, and it was at a school dance. He went to my school and his date was your mom. He was the boy in my high school that was the main bully and no one liked him. He actually had to bring an out of town girl, who was Selena, from California, to get a date." She laughs a bit then her face turns serious. "He always had something weird going on about him. Something... Not right." She shrugs. "He obviously didn't turn out good anyways so no reason to ponder on what the past brought us to."

"Yeah." I bob my head in agreement.

The next few days go by pretty quickly. We stop off occasionally at a passing fast food chain along the way for food and bathroom breaks and all that, but nothing really happens. All the places we stop at are weird. They have a ton of people but no one seems to know who Taylor is.

We reach Florida and we immediately see, right next to the big "Welcome! You are now in Florida!" Sign, in huge letters, there it is.

"HOME OF MINDTRAVEL FOUNDER!"

"Ugh." I groan.

"Lets do this." Taylor says confidently as we drive further.
