I've been here long enough to know what I'm doing.

When Justin put me under mind control a few years ago, what he didn't realize was that there was an obvious "antidote."

He didn't bother to think about the fact that I have a massive fan base.

He didn't realize that I had a Class 5 security team.

And cameras watching my every move.

So when my security cameras caught videos of him attempting to brainwash me, what he didn't realize was that with the help of my fans, and the footage of him conducting his little plan, I was able to identify how to stop it.

You see, the serum he uses to inject his victims with is nothing fancy, it's simply a saline solution in disguise. It doesn't do anything.

The part that puts them under brainwash is much more obvious, really.

The robot.

When you get a MindTravel simulation, the first thing you see is a robot.

What's the first thing that robot does?

It hooks you up to a machine then asks you a whole bunch of personal questions.

With the information gathered, that bot then specially designs a simulation just for you.

Except, that simulation doesn't end after five hours.

No, it never stops. To end it, you have to wake up.

But with Taylor, and Violet as well, they haven't figured out how to wake up yet.

Basically, it's like a video game.

Justin can use a controller to choose what happens in the simulation.

He can move characters around, he can alter their memories.

But once someone realizes that they're in a game, they wake up.

I woke up, which is why I know this.

Taylor and Violet are still going through their simulations. It sounds weird, I know, but you wouldn't truly understand unless you've experienced it.

So, you see, I have a character in this "game" too. Justin sits behind a series of control screens and uses his controller to move his character around inside their heads.

He can chose what they do too, hence the mind control aspect.

But none of it is real.

When Justin isn't watching, I take my controller and leave Taylor and Violet little clues as to what is happening.

I'll break it down for you.

Everything that happened before the simulation started is real. Taylor being sad and upset. Violet being all alone in New York. Violet throwing an engraved penny at Taylor.

All that happened.

But now, in the "game," it's all different.

Taylor was getting a simulation, and she "woke up." But, instead of coming completely out of the simulation, it was staged.

Justin made her think she woke up, but in reality, she's still playing a pawn in his ever-lasting video game.

As for Violet, she got a simulation a while back.

Right around the same time Taylor got it, really.

She would never admit it, but when Taylor went to MindTravel, Violet did too.

Justin thought it would be funny to put them on the same playing field, make them play the game together.

If you're wondering how I woke up, that's simple.

After playing in his game for a while, I started to realize how fake everything looked. It was all too clean cut. Too perfect.

Almost two dimensional.

I remember thinking "Wow. I feel like a character in a video game." And I guess once you break the spell, once you realize, you're set free.

Now here I sit, watching two more characters struggle. Watching these two innocent people think that they've been infected, thinking that they're going to be stuck forever.

I try to give them clues.

My most recent one was that piece of paper.

My character gave it to Taylor, and on the inside is a map.

If they do what I hope they will, they will follow the path to a small hidden corridor, which, on the wall, explains everything.

It's all very confusing.

They've spent the last few weeks thinking that the world is crumbling beneath them, when really, the game is just taking flight.

I still don't understand why Justin forces me to play this game with him.

But he has me locked up here, in his headquarters office, so I suppose if I have to play the game, I'll try to get them out.

"Selena, pick up the controller. They're running, I don't know where to, but you've got to try and stop them," Justin orders from the other room.

I glance up at the screen.

They're running, that's for sure. Following the path that I drew for them.

I picked the controller up and sighed.

I moved my character into the corridor where I had them running to.

When I finally saw them enter, they both looked alarmed.

I put on my microphone and strapped on my Virtual Reality glasses. It's much easier to make the game seem real for them if it seems real for you too.

"Read the wall," was all I whispered.

They both looked at me, confused.

"I promise, it explains everything," I said.

I exited the small room and pulled off my glasses and mic.

I looked at my screen.

Taylor has her eyebrows furrowed as she read about how this was all a game.

Violet looked angry, more than anything.

Taylor started talking.

"It's all a game? We're characters in his game?" She yelled.

Justin raced into the room.

"They figured it out?" He screamed. "That means they'll show up in real life soon! We have to convince them it's real!"

"Get over it, Justin. You can't make your record sales go up by trying to convince your competitor that she doesn't write music. It just won't work out," I said rudely.

Justin stared at his screen with a look of panic.

"They're going to be two blocks away in about thirty seconds. They're most likely going to be mad. Run," he said frantically.

"No. You got us into this mess. You'll get us out."

He sat down and put his head in his hands.

And with that, level two begins.

Please don't hate me for taking such a dramatic turn. But you know me, I'm the queen of plot twists and cliffhangers. I know it's confusing, I'm sorry. Ask questions if you're confused and I'll clear it all up.
