They look like you. They talk like you. On the outside, they are you. On the inside, they think like you. They feel like you. However, they have something you do not.
Children come into the world every day and none of them appear impressive at first sight. Rarely though, a child is born with something extra— a small thread woven into his heart called a Duplum Ligare.

The Erudite thread provides a person with knowledge.
The Strength thread makes a person seem as gentle as the lamb, but his strength can overcome the fiercest lion.
The Senses thread gives a person the ability to see, hear, and smell things from miles away and climb and run with little effort.
The Disguise thread gives a person the ability to shape-shift his form and transform the pigment of his skin.
The Imagination thread presents the host with fantastic creativity and the power to force things to appear in midair by pure will.
The Defense thread gives a person battle skills including quick reflexes.
The Manipulation thread presents a person with the ability to manipulate someone or something by mere word or thought. A Duplum Ligare of Manipulation can retrieve objects from across the room by manipulating them to come.
The Nature thread allows a person to communicate with animals and bond with other forms of nature.
Lastly, the Pariah thread repels beings from a person's presence. A Duplum Ligare of Pariah can shock someone or something with the slightest touch of his fingers.
A Duplum Ligare thread is a highly skilled talent, and talents bind each person together like leather surrounding a book. Those two Latin words, Duplum Ligare, mean just that— double binding. God chose certain unborn babies and allowed a single thread to bloom inside them. Therefore, God, the Binder, binds each person together.
