I slip of the dress and put on a pair of PINK shorts and a gray Nike shirt.
"Ugh!" I moan laying on my bed. I listen quietly to the pitter patter of rain tapping on my window.
What am I regretting? My life is great as far as I know.
•I have a mom who might not always be there when I need her, but I know she loves me.
•My beautiful little sister who makes me smile. •Memories of my adventurous dad.
• Friends that I can always rely on.
• Good grades
But something in me is just.. I don't know I'm being stupid...
Clearly Nick doesn't seem to care enough to-
"JJ!" Sings Laurie as she prances into my room.
"Hey babe, what's up?" I say lifting her onto my lap.
"What's up with you?" She says jabbing her chubby finger at me.
"What do you mean? I'm perfectly fine little ladybug." I smile tickling her tummy.
"Your in love wif Nick! I know it cause he looks at you the way Flynn Ryder looks at Repunzal!" She giggles.
"Your silly!" I laugh.
Suddenly thunder crashes through the clouds. Laurie buries into my lap. The rain begins to pour outside.
"Will you sing me da special song JJ? Pleeease?" She asks.
"Sure! ♪Constant as the stars above, always know that you are loved, and by then shining in you, will help you dreams come true♪." I sing.
*knock knock*
"Hmm.. Is mom home early?" I ask lifting the sleepy Laurie off my lap.
I make my way down the steps and open the door.
I don't believe my eyes. Standing in the pouring rain is... Nick.
"What are you doing out here!" I shout over the rain splashing against the ground.
"Come with me!" He says holding out his hand.
Hesitantly I grab his hand. Nick pulls me to the pickup truck he drove here. Probably his dads.
We climb inside and Nick turns towards me.
"What's wrong with you?" I ask.
"Jessica Livly. You drive me crazy! OK I suck at sentimental speeches so I'm just gonna say it... I love you. OK I love you so much that I can't even light a CIG without worrying, I get jealous when other guys kiss you, and you make my heart pound faster than riding Richard Cap's Mercedes!" He says looking into my eyes.
"Trust me I've made a lot of mistakes in my life. But loosing you would be the biggest of all. I can't promise you money, or garantees, but I can promise you me. Everyday I will be there for you. Whether you want me there or not. I do stupid things. I say stupid crap. But I really do love you Jess."
"Nick-" my words are stuck in my throat. Nick Heath loves me. Me.
Nick cups my face in his hands. His big, strong, hands. Its this kind of power he holds over me that I can't be without.
We lean into each other and I look into his eyes. Maybe.. Fairy tales can happen to just anyone. Plus who doesn't love a good movie?
"I love you too." I whisper.
Nick closes the space between us and I feel safe. He wraps his arms around my dripping wet body and I weave my hands through his hair. Nothing can get me to stop kissing him.
It seems as if every new kiss he gives me the closer we are to each other. He moves his lips to my neck and softly kisses me there. I can't help but smile.
"You uh.. Wanna go inside and dry off?" I whisper as if my voice will break the moment.
Because between you and me... My soggy shorts are sticking to my butt...

2 cups of hot chocolate and a blanket later...
†Nicks P.O.V†
I flick through the TV channels. Laurie is upstairs sleeping and Jessie is nestled up against me playing with my arm.
"How about 'Bench warmers'?" I ask looking down at her.
"Sure like we're gonna watch the movie." She smirks.
God Damn... How am I so lucky?
I smile and lean down to her. Kissing her gets better and better each time. Feeling her soft body against mine sends sparks through my veins.
★Jessies P.O.V★
"Haha, you get a lot of practice at this don't you?" I say kissing Nicks ear.
He teases me by rubbing his hand around my sides and pulling away when I go to kiss him again.
You know Jessica... His shirt is still pretty drenched...
I grab the corners of his shirt and tug upwards. Nick ignores my wishes and continues kissing my neck and cheek.
"Niiick!" I wine.
Finally he pulls his shirt over his head revealing the Magic Mike XXL audition key. Then he notices me staring and brings me back to reality.
"Take a picture it will last longer."
"Your such a jerk!" I say slapping his chest.
As I go to kiss him again I hear tiny foot steps coming downstairs.
Rubbing her eyes Laurie says "Whoops! Sorry Nick Ryder! My apologies princess Jessie." She giggles and prances back upstairs.
Sisters.
