"Jessica! How many times do I have to tell you no texting in class!" Shouted Mrs.Harliy slapping a ruler on my desk.
I couldn't concentrate during class today considering this 'back to school' thing for me. I've had a week off of school, and its hard to adjust to the wake up at 6am work your ass off with school-work and people. People as in Nick.
"Sorry Mrs.Harliy, I'm just a little....exasperated?"
Maybe saying a 'big' word will ease her concerns? I hope.
She gives me a glare and walks back to the white board. Ugh teachers; always buttin into students lives, homework monsters, scary librarians, gross ugly lunch ladies.....ok now I'm naming things about school. Blech.
It amazes me how lunch time can feel so free! You get to just hang and talk with your friends. Hmm what do I feel like eating? Moldy lasagna, hairy meatloaf, or wilty lettuce and mushy tomato salad? Skip lunch it is.
I take a seat next to Maddie, Lizzie, and Kasy.
"Once again thank you so much for getting my phone!" Maddie thanks kissing her beloved phone.
"Yeah whatever." I laugh.
That whole lunch we just talked about random school and life events. Boring huh?
"I'm gonna go get another milk." Said Lizzie walking towards the tray of milks.
On her way back to the table, Krista Johnstone bumped into her crushing the carton of milk which started pouring all over the front of Lizzie.
"Hey! What was that for!?" She shouted.
"Oh sorry. Maybe this will help." Krista said stuffing cracker crumbs on her.
Students began crowding in and laughing. God, teenagers. Lizzie was shocked and incredibly embarrassed by the look in her wide eyes. Ok I was not gonna sit here and do nothing. I snatched a plastic cup of vannila bean pudding and stepped behind Krista.
"Hmm poor Lizzie. Cat got your tongue?" Teased Krista. She tossed her strawberry blond hair behind her and smirked as if being head cheerleader made her the school dictator. Not with the stereotype thing but you know its true.
"God Krista. That's kinda sad that you feel the need to feed of other peoples humility. I thought you had enough for yourself." I mock squashing the cup of pudding on her head.
She turns and glares at me mouth gaping open. I smirk but then my heart quickens as I see her pick up some of the hairy meatloaf. Oh god. I glance at the south side door and see Nick and his friends smiling at me. I can't help but feel pretty awesome right now.
Krista thrusts her fist of food at me, splattering on my face.
This. Means. War.***********************
"Krista. Jessica. I'm very disappointed in you both. Detention. After school or else you will be suspended." The principal growls.
Yay, I'm covered in disgusting school food and have to go to detention for the 3rd time this month.
"Yes sir." Me and Krista say simultaneously. There we go, another big word.
We walk out of his office without saying a word to one another.
"You have quite a knack for sticking your nose where is doesn't belong don't you?" Asks Krista.
"Oh you know, I just like showing off bitches." I remark.
This earns me a glare. When I look at her I almost burst out laughing when I see a piece of mushy tomato hanging right near her nose which makes it look like a..... well a boogy.
