Chapter 8 - Pool Party!

We all pushed away our empty bowl of what used to be sir fry. 

Cody wasn't kidding when she said this place was amazing.

She sat next to me, trying to pick up a fork with her chop sticks. I was just watching her while everyone else was talking amongst themselves.

Cody has this cute frown on her face when she dropped the fork once again. Her electric blue eyes stared at the fork carefully while trying to pick it up with her chopsticks. This girl was determined to succeed, and it was a total turn on. 

"Cody. What the hell are you doing?" Alyx asked, staring at her.

"What does it look like, Alyx?" She asked sweetly.

"Looks like you're being stupid."

I held back a growl, and just glared at him while everyone just laughed.

Cody smiled and pointed a chop stick at the brown haired boy. "You're correct, sir!"

I smiled at my mate, and wrapped an arm around her to pull her closer to me. "I don't think you're stupid." I whisper in her ear.

She shivers when my breath hit her skin. "Then I thank you." She tells me shyly, a blush turning her cheeks to a rosy red.

I smiled and kissed the side of her head.

"They say that love is forever, your forever is all that I need. Please stay forever with me." A familiar song filled the air.

"Ooh! A phone call!" Cody cheered, pulling out her iPhone from her front pocket. "Yellow is a color, yello is my greeting." She answered.

"I am so jealous of you." Griffin said from next to me.

I pulled my eyes away from my beautiful mate, and looked at him. "Why?"

"Your girlfriend is so fucking awesome."

I smile. "I know she is. Makes me wonder what she sees in me."

I do catch myself thinking that once in a while. I'm just glad my mate wanted to give me another chance. Hunter or not, I quickly fell in love with this girl. She's mine, and nothing can seperate us.

"Brent! Take a freakin' chill pill! I'll be there okay?? And I'm bringing Luke with me. Bye." She pressed the red button on her screen and slif the phone back into her front pocket.

"What song was that?" Jaden asks.

"My ringtone? If I'm James Dean, You're Audrey Hepburn by Sleeping With Sirens."

"I love that song!" Jaden smiles.

"Dude, same!" Cody says happily, giving my best friend a high five.

"I'm having a pool party. Who's in?" Alyx asked the table.

"Me! Me! Me! Me! Me!" Cody yelled, bouncing in her seat.

"And miss a chance to see sexy emo chick in a bikini? Hell yeah we're in." Blaze said, staring at my mate. 

I pulled Cody closer to me. Call me possessive, I just don't want anyone, besides myself, to see that much skin on Cody. Given, I'll once mate her, and then I get to see even more of my beautiful mate, but I won't hope for that just yet. She's human, so we have to take things slower than most werewolves would.

"Cody what was it that Brent wanted?" Luke asks.

"I'll tell you later." 

I instantly knew it was about the hunters.
