Chapter 6 - New Found Love and Four Problems

Two weeks. Two agonizing weeks since my mate rejected me. I know I vowed to get her back, and I do. I'm just still grieving. 

Jaden's getting frustrated with me. My depression is causing a problem in the pack. The hunter problem is still there, and my mate problem isn't helping anyone. He just doesn't understand the pain a werewolf feels when their mate rejects you. Or the pain when you have to see your mate in the arms of Brent.

Cody even refuses to talk to her own brother because he is a wolf. He's just as depressed as I am. His sister was the only family he had left basically, and she hates him.

I miss her smile, I miss making her smile, I miss her lips, I miss her scent, and most of all, I miss her eyes. Her once electric blue orbs, are now a pale and dull blue. I know she misses me. I sometimes catch her eye in the hall, but she quickly looks away. It breaks my heart every time.

So, my father doesn't agree with my mates fate chose for me. Just because she's a hunter, I can't have her. 

Well, daddy can go to hell. She's my mate, and I'll always love her.

"Please! Guys, this is depressing!" Jaden whined. He actually wasn't smiling. "Be cheery! Smile! Something!"

Jaden, Luke, and I were all sitting at our pack table in the lunch room. Most of the sluts in the pack were flirting with Jaden, Luke, and I. But they gave up after ten minutes of us not responding, so everyone left.

"You try being cheery when your mate rejects you." I grumbled, pulling the hood of my hoodie over my head.

"You want me to smile when I lost the rest of my family just because of what I am?!" Luke yelled, gaining a few peoples attention. But after looking at his glare, they immediatly turned away.

That kid has been emotionless for the past two weeks. This is the most he's talked since Cody distanced herself. 

"I'm sorry. This is just weird. My best friend, and beta, is depressed over his mate. And a pack member has been blank for the past two fucking weeks!" Jaden hissed.

I barely paid attention to them when that vanilla cake batter scent hit my senses. I look up to see my Cody wrapped in the arms of her best friend. 

My fists clenched when Brent started to nibble on her ear.

The only thing that stops me from going over there and ripping that douches head off is Cody's fake smile. 

From what Luke knows - which is very little - Brent confessed his love the same day Cody found out what we are. Two days later they started going out. That hurt like hell. It was like getting hit in the gut by a bowling ball.

I snapped out of my thoughts when Luke stormed away from us, and went up to his sister and her best friend. He's running only on the anger and sadness he's bottled up.

"Get your fucking hands off my sister!" He yelled at Brent, pushing him.

"What the hell is your problem?!" Brent yelled back.

The whole cafeteria was silent while watching them. 

"Get back to your own fucking lives!" Luke yelled, and everyone turned away. 

Luke didn't say anything else, he just grabbed Cody's arm, and towed her over to our table. Brent didn't do anything but glare at Luke's back. 

My heart beat faster with every step my angel took closer to me. 

My palms became sweaty when Luke made his sister sit next to me. She didn't put up any fight. It was like she wanted this to happen.

"What the hell are you doing with Brent?!" Luke growled.
