Chapter 3: Confrontation

Changes had been made. It still follows the anime Death Note but some time set are being changed. For example, L met Soichoro and the others before this... That's probably because you are here and it makes a large difference.

(First Person)

"You're quite impressive, honestly, that I would probably think of sooner or later. It matches my thinking." L said behind me. I smirked,  facing the glass pane in front of me that gives me a nice view of Tokyo.

"Okay then, let's get started."

"Wow (f/n)-chan! I haven't expected you to be this smart! The idea sounds like what the people does in the movies, you know?" Matsuda said, making the others glare at him to shut him up.

I chuckled. "Yes, I can see where you are coming from."

"Look guys she agreed with me!" He screamed again too. The others shushed him as he sank back to his seat.

"Watari, please bring these to me." L said, holding a piece of paper. His voice sounded a little forced but who can tell? His face is just as blank as ever, not even his eyes can give away anything. Watari smiled and shrugged.

"Another willful request." He said before disappearing to Death-God-knows-where getting Death-God-knows-what.

Kira's POV

"We would like to apologize for the interruption, as of now we may witness a live worldwide broadcast from the Japan's ICPO." The broadcaster said.

Woah, what is this all about? A live worldwide broadcast? That's a first.

"Hm? What's this?" Ryuk said beside me, excited as usual.

"We now take you live to the ICPO."

The screen revealed a man with pale skin and black hair that went down to his neck. A rather formal looking man with some sort of a glint in his eyes. They displayed his name, 'Lind L. Tailor'.

I almost burst out laughing at their idiocy. There's a mass murderer on the loose, judging criminals that the media reports. Here they are, displaying their name, like bait. 

"I hold up an international police task force which includes all member nations. I am Lind L. Tailor otherwise known as L." He said.

"What? Who is this guy?" I wondered, looking intently at this man who claims to be 'L'. 

"Criminals around the world are being murdered by a serial killer. I consider this crime to be a monstrous act of murdering in history. I will not rest until the person or the people responsible are brought to justice. Kira, I will hunt you down. I will find you." Lind L. Tailor, also known as L, said confidently. 

"He seems certain he'll catch you." Ryuk told me. My shocked expression turned into a smirking one.

"Hm, The fool. He'll never find me, He'll have to get this first," I said, holding up my Death Note. "And as long as the police never find any inevitable evidence to convict me, catching me will be nearly impossible." I said while smirking, resting my arm on top of the chair.

"I anticipated that the police would get involved if something like this might happen."

"Kira, I have a pretty good idea what your motivation might be and I can guess what you hoped to achieve. However, what you're doing right now.. is evil." He said blankly but nearly screaming at the end of his sentence.

I am taken aback.

"You think I'm evil!?"

"I am Justice!! I protect those who fear evil, I'm the one who will become the God of the new world that everyone desires, all those who impose that God? They are the ones who are truly evil!" I screamed as I took a pen and opened the Death Note.
