Chapter 4: University

(First Person)

A Few Days Later...

"I'm going to where?" I asked, keeping my excitement down. L told me that we're going to a university and apply to the entrance exams, he said he needs to investigate the suspect himself. You see, I am in fact intelligent but I never went to a school. Of course, being sent on the depths of Wammy's House, they never allowed me to go anywhere, and when I escaped, I should lay low and avoid human interaction. I just observed events form far away, pushing people to their limits, manipulating them to something. Yeah, when something happens I'm there, but I kept my identity and face hidden most of the time.

I have a huge hunch that Light Yagami is L's Prime Suspect. The son of Chief Soichoro, I guess his intuition says so.

"I already told you once (f/n)-san." L blankly replied. Taking a piece of cake in his mouth.

"But seriously, I'm going to a university to take entrance exams?" I asked once again, trying to control my excitement from bursting out.

"Yes, in fact you are. It is already 12:34 AM I think you should rest. We'll be heading to the university tomorrow." L said.

"How about you? Aren't you going to rest?" I asked him.

"I have the inability to sleep. In simpler words, I'm Insomniac." L replied, eating more pieces of his cake as he quickly typed on his laptop.

'Don't sleep yet dammit! Be like the first one, be like L (#BeLikeBill), he's insomniac. Not a whiny shit like you.'

A small frown appeared on my face, but it quickly vanished. 

"Is there something the matter?" L asked, he must've noticed my 8-second unusual silence.

"Nah, nothing. Night L." I shrugged off and replied, exiting the room. I smirked, YESH! I'M GOING TO A UNIVERSITY WITH SO MAAANYY PEOPLE, AND ONE OF THEM IS POSSIBLY KIRA! Yeepee~

I slumped down to the bed. With that, I let the darkness engulf me within seconds.

Nah, kidding. After 2 hours and 500 uncomfortable/comfortable sleeping positions later, I finally went to sleep.

I woke up, and no- my eyes didn't 'flutter open' as the 'sunshine reached my eyes'. Instead, my eyes stayed closed as I enjoyed my alarm like it's a music playing. Indeed it was, but in a way where I played it myself.

Yet, I remembered why I created an alarm time in the first place.

"I'm going to a university!!" I screamed out loud, jolting upwards as I quickly slammed the 'stop' button of my alarm and kicked the bathroom open.

I ran straight to L's office and without knocking on the door, I came busting my way in.

"L, When are we going?!" I screamed. L looks taken aback on his chair, sitting in his signature position.
