Chapter 16

||Emily's P.O.V||
Simon and I spent hours looking at footage and trying to trace Adria's steps, but we had no luck.

"It's getting late and we might get caught. We should go back to our rooms." Simon stated.

"No way!" I exclaimed.

"Why?" He asked. "I'm tired too."

"I don't care! We need to find her! What if Travis went missing? Wouldn't you search nonstop until you found him?" I asked.

"No because I know he would be okay." He said.

"Ugh!" I yelled.

"Shhhhh!" He shushed. "Keep it down!"

"I don't know if anyone told you, but my brother went missing for THREE DAYS! And when I thought I found him, it turned out to be an imposter. Allison said she's coming for us one by one. We can't let her hurt anyone." I said.

He stared at me like I was a nutcase. 

"Mark went missing?" He asked.

"Did you not just hear me?!"

"Woe. Calm down. Zach was right. You're a hot head."

"Excuse me, but I think he meant I was hot." I said.

"No. He meant you have a hard head. You're stubborn, but in a good way." He said.

I felt a smile tug at the corners on my mouth.

Zach actually talks about me. I mean, Simon says its in a good way, right?

"Hello?"

I quickly snapped out of my daze.

"Hm?"

"You zoned out on me. Were you thinking about how much you miss your boyfriend?" He questioned playfully.

"I will kick the shit out of you." I threatened.

He shook his head and laughed and I joined in.

I yawned.

"I guess we should call it a day. We can look for her tomorrow. Plus, she might be back." I said with the little hope that was left in me.

"Let's go."

I followed him back through the hallway and opened the wall in which we came in.

"I have to tell you something." Simon said.

"Mhmm."

"I like Tabitha, but I don't know how to tell her."

I smirked.

"I can help you out."

||Scarlett's P.O.V||
I watched as Adria as she squirmed around like a fish out of water. She's finally starting to wake up.

Great...

Her eyes fluttered open and she groggily looked around the room.

"Awe. Look who's up!" I said.

She averted her puzzled eyes to my face and glared at me.

"You!" She yelled.

"Me!" I yelled back mockingly and chuckled to myself.

This is going to be fun.

"What do you want from me!" She yelled.

"Nothing really. What happens to you is something I don't get to decide. All I do is the capturing part." I replied.

"I will kick your ass, bitch!" She sneered.

I pointed to her ankles.

"There's no way you're getting out." I cheerfully said.

Adria tried to break the chains, but- to my pleasure- failed.

"Emily is going to find me and when she does, she's going to give it to you!" She yelled.

I chuckled and walked out, leaving the girl in the dark.

"What's her punishment?" I asked Lex.

"I'm not sure yet. I'll figure everything out when we get them all. So we need to hurry before it's too late." He said.

"What are we gonna do with her in the meantime? She's really annoying." I said.

"And so is that Allison girl. They all are. You need to deal with it for now." He replied.

I looked over to Allison's room. As I listened for I while, I started to notice cries.

I sighed and turned back around.

I didn't want to have to have to go down this path, but ever since my parents left me, I had no where to go. I couldn't join the Academy because they saw me as a threat, so that's why I'm here. To be honest, it's not as bad as people make it sound. I have shelter, food, water, and clothes. I just wish I was able to have friends.

"What are you thinking about?" He snapped.

I looked up at his stone cold face.

"I was just thinking about what I was going to make myself for dinner." I lied.

"That's not important. I need ways to get the others. We can't use the same method every time because they will start to protect themselves." He whined.

I rolled my eyes.

I hate him with a passion.

"Well what do you expect me to do?! All of your dirty work? I'm sorry, but you can do that yourself. I can't do everything for you 24/7. I need to do things for myself too!" I yelled.

I couldn't hold it in any longer.

"Do you know what happens to people when they disobey me?" He asked.

"No and I don't care. So shut it old man." I sneered.

He walked closer to me and my heartbeat quickened.

What was going to become of me? Is he going to kill me?

I wasn't thinking right so I did what any other person would do.

I ran.

HEYY! I finally got to update! I will be updating more frequently now so yay for that!
What do you think will become of Scarlett? Is she good or bad? What will happen to Allison and Adria? Who will they capture next?
