Chapter 20

We all raced down to the fountain outside of the campus.

"Um Emily, I need to talk to you." Zach said.

I walked away from my friends with Zach.

"Look your brother is my best friend and your his little sister. I honestly love being around you and I love calling you my girlfriend but I don't want any stress between you and your brother. I think it's best that we break up." He said.

Tears stung my eyes.

"What? But we..." I paused knowing there was no was to fix this.

As a single tear she's from my eye I quickly wiped it away and pushed my feelings aside. I can't let my guard down now.

"Yea sure. I guess it's fine. Whatever." I managed to say.

He gave me the saddest look.

"Em, I'm sorry, but-"

"It's all good." I whispered and walked away.

When I got back to my friends they were hounding Zach and I. Neither of us said a word about what any of us said.

"Let's just go and get this over with." Adria said. "Leave those two alone."

I gave her a light smile.

We all made out way down to the "Evil Lair" if that's what you'd like to call it.

I knocked on the door.

One of the guards answered.

"We need to see Lex." I said.

He let us in.

"Ah what a pleasant surprise!" Lex said.

"Cut the shit! We're here for something important." Simon said.

"What might that be?" He asked.

"War. We're don't with you and your no good scumbag friends and allies. If you won't fix your problems, there's only one way to do so and that is to take on the villains." Zach exclaimed.

A smirk appeared on Lex's face.

"And you nimrods think your puny team can beat us? Deal. Next Friday its war. Get ready to have a BLAST!" He yelled before walking into another room not to be seen for the rest of the week.

We all looked around obliviously. None of us knew what to do now.

"I guess we should leave." Zach stated.

"I guess we should." I snapped in his direction which was completely uncalled for.

Damnit Emily your such a fool sometimes.

We all go back to campus and spread the news as quickly as possible to all the other trainees. They all agreed to help us. Even the staff.

"Now all we need to do is do some hardcore training." Toni said.

"How about everyone else starts today and we get a break for the rest of the day. We've been nonstop doing things all day and I'm pooped." Tabitha said.

"Yea. Let's just chill out until tomorrow... Let's say 11:30 am." Adria said. "Then we'll all meet in the training room"

We all nodded and parted ways- except for Adria, Toni, Tabitha, and I.

"What happened?" Toni asked me.

"What do you mean?"

"Please. Don't act naive. Something happened with Zach." She said.

I looked at my friends and decided to tell them.

"He dumped me"

"WHAT?! HE DID WHAT?!" Tabitha screamed.

The guys looked back and hurried Zach along knowing it wouldn't end well if he were in the same room as her.

"Shh. It's not a big deal." I said

"Yes it is. Don't hide your feelings from us. You know better than that!" Toni exclaimed.

Adria nodded in agreement

Just then all of the feelings that I had bottled up inside came out.

I just started crying.

"Come here." Adria said as they all closed in on me for a group hug.

"It's going to be okay. Just wait till I get my hands on that boy!" Tabitha sneered.

"Not a good time Tabby." Toni scolded.

"Let's get you to your room." Adria said and they walked the whole way with me.

"Do you want us to stay the night. You do have Tabitha with you though." Toni said.

I couldn't talk because of the lump in my throat so I just nodded.

Toni and Adria for settled as I just laid all curled up in a ball.

"Just go to sleep." Tabitha said soothingly.

And I did

||Zach's P.O.V||
"Why would you break up with her?" Simon scolded.

"Because if that one!" I yelled pointing to Mark.

"What did I do?!" He asked.

"Like you don't know! You forbid her to date me, you're constantly up her ass, you give her no freedom, and you're too overprotective! For gods sake she can handle herself and if in any situation she can't, I will. I'd do anything for her!" I yelled.

"Well if it want for you being the fuck boy you are, maybe I would let her date you. You go from one girl to another just for sex and it's degrading and embarrassing man!" Mark instigated.

"Well what stage of my life is over now. I think you need to accept that your little sister isn't so little anymore." I shot back at him.

He huffed.

"You don't get it!"

"So what? Let her be who she is. You didn't have anything to do with her being in this world so stay out of the parenthood role." I said and walked out.

I fucked up big time.

||Emily's P.O.V||
I awoke the next morning to bickering.

I walked to my door to see what was going on. When I opened it, there was Adria, Toni, and Tabitha just verbally beating the shit out of Zach.

I walked out into the commotion.

"SHUT UP!" I screamed so they would hear.

"What are you doing?!" I exclaimed.

Zach looked at me with loving eyes but I looked away. I didn't want him to see how hurt I am.

"Telling Zachary that he's a no good little prissy fuck boy who goes around braking hearts-" Tabitha started.

"No." I said. "Stop. Let it go and leave him alone." I said.

Without looking at anyone I walked back in my room.

I'm so done.
