Chapter 17

||Simon's P.O.V||
I woke up and saw Emily waiting I my room- er, I mean pacing.

"Why are you here?" I asked.

She looked up.

"She's not back yet!" She exclaimed.

"Stop worrying. We'll find her." I groaned.

Just then Zach walked through the door.

"TRAVIS I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE THAT DOOR LOCKED!" I yelled to my irresponsible roommate who was taking a shower.

"OOPS!" He yelled back.

I looked up and Emily wouldn't sit still. She say for a couple seconds, then stood up and paced.

"It's all going to be okay." Zach assured her.

How does he do that? He's so chill about having a girlfriend. He makes it look so easy.

She looked up at him and sighed.

"I guess I'll have to get her work for her." She said and walked out the door.

Zach walked after her.

Finally... I can go back to sleep!

||Emily's P.O.V||
I heard footsteps behind me and turned around to see Zach.

He smiled.

Damn... That smile...

"What if she's hurt?" I asked.

He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and walked with me.

"She's okay. We'll find her." He assured me.

I nodded and walked into my room- Zach still had his arm wrapped around me- and then he turned my around so we were face to face.

He leaned in closer and just as our lips were about to meet, I heard something that made me so scared, that I peed a little.

"What do you think you're doing?!"

||Scarlett's P.O.V||
I ran.

I got to a door. I didn't know what else to do so I ran inside and locked myself in.

I looked over and saw Allison's limp body.

He killed her already.

I slowly walked over to check her pulse.

Yep... She's dead. I don't know how everyone is going to take it.

After a few hours, I decided it was safe to leave and that Lex was asleep.

I carefully walked out and tip toed to Adria's room.

"Psst!" I whispered.

"H-hello?" She asked.

I threw a nearby blanket to her.

"It'll help you stay warm." I said.

I could make out a smile on her face.

I sighed and walked out and went to my room. The news is going to be hard to break.

||Emily's P.O.V||
I froze.

"I said what do you think you're doing?" Mark asked again.

Zach held me close.

"Don't you touch her!"

Zach held on even tighter as a just stood there.

"When was this a thing?" He asked.

I took a step up.

"A while ago. You have a problem with it?" I snorted.

"I don't trust him!" He barked.

"I don't care!" I yelled. "I do!"

He glared at me.

"Zach, I'm sorry but you and my sister are done." Mark said sternly.

I frantically looked at Zach, then back at my brother.

Then I just did it.

I slapped my brother.

He looked up at me. He looked hurt.

"I know you're upset but-" he started.

"Oh. I know. 'You just want to protect me'. NO!" I yelled.

"Yes." He replied.

Zach finally cut in.

"Dude I'm sorry, but you need to give her space. I really like her so you can't tell me to not be her boyfriend." He said.

Mark gave his best friend the death stare.

"You will not do this to me!" I exclaimed.

"I can do what I want!" He yelled.

I grabbed Zach's arm and pulled him out of my room and walked to the administration office.

"I'm getting my room changed. You stay here." I said.

He nodded and I walked into the office.

"Ah, Emily! What do you need?" Ms. Curtis the administrator asked.

"I need to change my- Mark's room. You see, we haven't been getting along so I was wondering if he could room with Travis and Simon while Tabitha comes to my room." I said.

She looked up from her computer and smiled.

"Anything for you!" She exclaimed.

That's why I went to Ms. Curtis.
