Chapter 19

We ran into this building with Scarlett. She made sure no one was around, the she led us to a hallway filled with a plethora of rooms.

"Adria's is the second to last room on the right." Scarlett said.

I looked at Travis.

"Stay here and look for Zach with Scarlett. I'll be okay."

He nodded his head and I darted away.

I flung the door open to a filthy room with random examining tables scattered around.

"Adria!" I whispered. "It's me, Emily!"

I heard faint muffled noises coming from a corner of the room. I made my way over and turned on a dim light. Sitting there, chained to the floor, was my best friend.

I grabbed the nearest object and pried the chains open. Once she was free she collapsed onto me and cried.

"I thought... I was never... Going to see you again!" She exclaimed between sobs.

"It's okay. You're going to be fine." I whispered.

I led her out and saw that Travis and Scarlett were gone.

"C'mon. I'm gonna get you back." I said.

I walked out to where I left Travis and Scarlett. They were also walking back with Zach.

As soon as he cam close enough, I jumped on him and kissed him deeply and passionately.

"What did he do to you?" I asked after our little moment.

"Nothing, but you guys saved me in time." He said.

"Cmon. Let's get the hell out of here" Scarlett said.

"Not so fast" a voice from behind demanded.

We all spun around to see Alex standing there with the ugliest, twisted, sickening grin on his face.

"RUN!" Zack yelled.

We bolted for the door.

It was locked.

"The windows!" I yelled as Lex brought out a few of his minions.

I used my super strength to shatter the glass and we all hopped out.

"TRAVIS!" I heard Adria shriek.

I spun around and saw Travis being dragged back inside by Lex.

"NO!" I screamed.

"We can't save him now! We'll just get dragged in with him!" Scarlett hollered.

She's right. If we go back there without our attire on, he can hurt us bad.

We sulked back to the campus and told the others how we gained two, but lost one.

"Oh geez!" Tabitha exclaimed.

"What are we going to do?" Zach asked.

"There's only one way to solve this." Mark said.

"What?" We all asked frantically.

"We start a war. Evil versus good. It's the only way to stop them once and for all and to show everyone we're more than just kids."

There was complete silence.

"Let's do it." I said.

Everyone chimed in with me.

This is war...
