Three years later...

"Kayla come here." I yell for my sassy two year old. She runs into the room. "Daddy." She calls out. "Daddy is at work. Come on let's get dressed so we can go shopping and to the nail shop." I say grabbing her hand. "Nails." She says smiling. "Daddy has his first game tonight and wants his girls look very pretty." She claps her hands. I laugh as we walk into the bedroom.

I sit DeAndre things in his side of the closest and walk over to my side. "Wear yellow." Kayla says walking behind me. She's really my mini me. I love this girl with everything in me and she's really my best friend. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have her. She's my motivation in all that do. If it wasn't for her or Dre I wouldn't have graduated.

I grab my yellow sundress and sandals. We walk into Kayla's room. "Yellow like mommy." She says as we walk into her closet. I smile grabbing her a yellow dress and nude sandals. I take out her mini team variety jacket. Dre had both of us some jackets made, they're perfect to wear on a day like today. "Come on let's go get dressed."

Once we're dressed I stand in the mirror and straighten my 24 inches of Remy while putting Kayla's thick hair into a bun. "Very pretty lil mama." I say smiling at her. She stands up on the counter and looks in the mirror. "Pretty mommy."

"Thank you. Ready to go get your nails done?"

"Yes!"

"Alright come on."

We walk into the nail shop. "What's up boo? Hey lil diva." Alexis hugs me then Kayla. "Nail Aunt Lex." Alexis smiles. "What color?" Kayla looks up at me. "How about yellow with a flower design to match your dress?" I ask her. She instantly smiles. "Okay Trina give my goddaughter a cute flower design." Alexis tells her employee. I grab my color and sit down beside her. Alexis sits across from me and grabs my hand.

"So you're look extra cute today. What you doing today?" Alexis asks. "Dre has a game tonight so me and Kay gotta look top notch." She smiles, "Have I told how I love you two still being together?" I laugh, "Only a million times Lex." She laughs, "I really do though." I smile I love DeAndre to death. He's the sweetest man ever and I'm happy as hell to be his fiancée. I couldn't picture my life going any other way except for this.

The door opens and a guy walks in. "Miss Sincere Hope and Miss Kayla Washington." I look over, "Over here." He walks over, "Miss Sincere or Kayla?" He asks. "I'm Sincere Kayla is my daughter." I point to Kayla right next to me. The deliver guy smiles and hands me the roses, "They're from DeAndre Washington." I'm probably smiling hard as hell as I view the flowers. He walks over to Kayla and hand her the flowers. "You ladies have a great day." He says to us and everyone in the shop.

I grab the card out of them. "Well read it!" Lex says. "To my favorite girls, may these flowers place a smile that radiates the entire room. I love you my Queen and Princess. I will be counting down the seconds until I see those beautiful faces tonight. Love Dre." The shop fills with awes.

I place down the flowers and look over at Kayla.. She smiles at me. "Do you like your flowers from daddy?" I ask. "You like yours?" She asks. I smile at her, "I love them."

"I love. Pretty." She says.

We finish up at the nail shop and head over the stadium. It's filling up here fast. Me and Kayla walk over to the security. "Name?" The woman asks. "Sincere Hope. DeAndre Washington's fiancée." She scrolls through, "Nice to meet you Ms. Hope. Mr. Washington left this up for you. She passes me a bag. "Thank you. Come on Kayla." I grab her hand and walk up to our box.

We walk inside the room and see a bunch of food. Some pizza rolls and finger sandwiches, chocolate, chicken wings, and my favorite barbeque meatballs. "Mommy pizza rolls." I laugh. Pizza rolls are her favorite. I grab her a small plate and security walks inside. "Mr. Washington sent these up and I'll be outside your door if you need anything." He hands me a box of my favorite donuts.

The game was a piece of cake and Dre did his thing! Me and Kayla walk down the to lower level. "Congratulations Mr. Washington how did you do it?" He turns around and smiles at me. "Well future Mrs. Washington with a team like the one I have standing behind me we're unstoppable on the field."

"I'm proud of you baby. You were a beast on that field." He smiles, "Thank you baby. Princess Kayla. What's up daddy's baby?" He picks her up and kisses her cheek. She hugs him. "Did you like the flowers?" He asks her. "Love them like mommy." I giggle. Dre leans down and kisses my cheek then passes me Kayla. "I'll be back. I'm taking my favorite ladies out." I go over to the entrance and stand there and wait.

We get back to the house and I shower once I get Kayla tucked into bed. I lay down in bed while Dre is in the home gym working out with one of his teammates. I lay there playing with my necklace around my neck. I reach inside my night stand and grab the last letter I received August.

I hope this letter finds you in good spirits. Man shit been getting crazy as hell inside of here. This might be the last letter you from me in a while long story short I had to shank a nigga. You already know I don't play that disrespectful shit. I swear thinking of you is what keeps me going sometimes. I can't wait to see how you turn out to be and its no doubt in my mind you gone do great things. I know shit went left the last time we saw each other but I really didn't mean anything foul by it. I don't want you waiting for me when it's a life full of shit you can be doing beside that. I don't want you regretting shit and I'm the cause of it. How is the baby doing? I'm sure she's going to be beautiful as her mother. Tell Dre I said congrats and make sure he does you right or its me he's going to face once I'm out this bitch. I love you Sincere. I know I say that a lot but if some ever happens to me that's one thing you wouldn't ever have to second guess. I can hear you now "August I hate when you talk like this." I know you hate it but I'm just being honest you never know. Always live life to the fullest Sincere and follow your heart, it won't ever lead you wrong. Kiss her for me and let her know I can't wait to see her once I'm out. I miss you and I'll always love you. -August

I wipe the tear that escaped my eyes and sit the letter back in the drawer. Sighing I turn over. I haven't received a letter since then. I forwarded any mail I would get at my grandma's old house to here but nothing. For the past two years it's been nothing, no type of communication.

Dre walk into the room. "What's up love?" I smile at him, "Hey." He gets under the covers. "Baby your dirty and sweaty." He lightly grabs my face tilting it towards his then climbs on top of me. "Bae I just took a shower." I giggle. "Well I think you're all dirty again so we should go shower together." He says in between kisses. "Hmm." He moves to my neck. "Uhm mhm."
