Chapter 9

Clarke P.O.V

Soon after Lexa left i changed out of my pjamas and went back to my dorm to find Raven typing away on her laptop 

"hey, wheres Octavia?"

"hey, she gone to basketball or something, anyway how was you night" she looked at me with a raised eyebrow and a smirk on her face

"it was a PG 13 night" i said with a subtle laugh while walking to my desk to pull out some biology books

"you know Clarke you should join a club"

"im in a club"

"Art does not count"

"why not"

"cause its art, and its lame"

"its not lame, you're lame"

"woah Clarke, didn't know you where so good at comebacks" i gave Raven a scowl

"look Clarke all I'm saying is that there this really cool club with a really cool co-captin called Raven who in my opinion is super hot"

"what does this cool club do?"

"science and math" she stood up and started to do jazz hands, i just sat the and laughed 

"no way, I'm not good at science unless its on the human body and I'm rubbish at math"

"please join Clarke, we need one more member to enter the competition" 

"who's in it?"

"well theres me, monroe and there is some boys from the school from down the road called Bellamy, Monty and jasper"

"whats in it for me"

"well all the members of the winning team get a scholarship to Stanford"

"wait you mean Stanford university" i looked at her in amazement 

"urrrrrr yeah"

"okay I'm in" Raven started to jumped in excitement 

it has always been my dream to go to Stanford, my mum went there to study medicine and i wish to do the same. it was also where my mum met my dad, they met at a frat party, i alway found that funny, how my parents love story was always such a cliché.

"so Raven, how do we win"

"there are three sections, engineering, math and science.for engineering we have to build an appliance that can help with everyday tasks, for maths we have to sole an equation when we get to the place we compete and for science, we don't exactly know, that will also take place in the arena place which will be in New York" i just sat there in amazement

"wow thats a lot of work" Raven just nodded at my comment

" When do we start ?"

"Tuesday, then Thursday, then Saturday at 4 till how ever long it takes"

i nodded and looked back down at my book. i started on my homework that i probably should have done on Friday but i was kinda busy. the thought of Lexa popped into my mind, i couldn't help but smile.

an hour into my work, my phone vibrated i looked at it, it was Lexa she texted me

L - Hey, you busy tonight princess? 

C - no not really 

L - good, ill pick you up at 8

C- but we have school tomorrow 

L - we live in school, don't worry about it princess

i look at the time on my phone, its 5 o'clock, i suddenly get up from my desk causing Raven to jump, i then run into the shower, i clean myself up and step out in my towel and dry my hair

"umm Clarke, what are you doing?"

"I'm getting ready"

"let me guess, Lexa?"

i just smiled, i looked over to Raven who now had her arms crossed

"she's picking me u at 8"

"do you need to borrow another one of my dresses?"

"no, i think i have a dress for church, but i don't go so" i pulled out a black tight dress with a black and white collar, i got dressed and put my hair up in a high pony tail, leaving two strands at the front

"looking good Clarke"

"why thank you, and Raven i have a question?"

"shoot"

"who's your best friend?"

"Octavia, why?" she looked at me confused

"you told me you had a crush on you're best friend" i looked at her with an evil smirk

"shit" Raven started to blush

"ask her out"

"what no"

"why not?"

"cause she's straight"

"you have got to be fucking kidding me"

"what?"

"you didn't believe that i was straight but you believe her"

"its because you were basically screaming gay where as Octavia is the stereotypical straight best friend"

"how was i screaming gay?"

"cause my gaydar is on point"

suddenly the door open to reveal Octavia walking in with a basketball uniform in her hands

"hey guys, i got in the basket ball team" i looked over to Raven who was just smiling and looking at Octavia

"congrats O" raven said, her voice softer than when she spoke to me wow she really got it bad for Octavia

octavia put down her stuff and walked over to me and Raven

"so Clarke why are you all dressed up"

"I'm going out with Lexa"

Octavia let out a high pitched scream

"oh my god yes! i ship Clexa so much"

"can you please explain what Clexa means"

"its yours and Lexa's ship name"

"ship name?"

"you're a lesbian, all lesbians should know what a ship is" Raven said but octavia rolled her eyes 

"its a name that you give two people who you want together"

"i thought you two wanted me to stay a way from Lexa"

"we changed our minds" said Raven, i noticed Raven would quickly glance at Octavia and then quickly look away 

there was then a knock at the door, i looked to raven who was pointing to her watch

"its 8 o'clock, what are you waiting for?"

i walked to the door and slowly opened it, Lexa was wearing a white button up shit, a leather jacket with black trousers and black oxfords, she also had on a black and gold rolex shit how can lexa afford all this? she had her hair down, with natural waves. her mouth was slightly open as she looked at me up and down 

"hey princess you ready" before i could answer there was a sudden flash, i turned to see Octavia taking a picture

"have fun kids" Octavia said while waving 

"yep I'm ready, lets got" Lexa took my hand and was walked off, i looked behind me and mouthed the words 'you're so embarrassing' to Octavia who was standing in the door way waving and taking pictures, lucky Raven puled her back into the dorm.
