Chapter 16

Clarke P.O.V

when the bell goes to signal the end of class I jump up and make my way to Lexa, I see the girl hand Lexa something, she puts it in her back pocket and looks up to me me walking up to her. Her head shoots her head down and grabs her bag and begins to walk out, I stop her by grabbing her arm

"Lexa what's wrong, why are you ignoring me" she turned to face me, she took a step closer, our faces inches away. I wanted to kiss her so bad but it was not the time and defiantly not the place

"Clarke, please It for the best, I love you but-"

"But what Lexa, can't tell me?" Lexa looked at me and shave me a small nod and walked away, I stayed frozen in the class room

"Clarke you need to be going to your next class" I head a voice, probably my teacher, I got my bag and walked out, tears began to fill in my eyes but I'm not going to let them out. I walked into my next class with a brave face, for the rest of the day I payed no attention in class, all I could think about is Lexa and why she was doing this, and that girl, everything I thought about her I clenched my fist in anger

Lexa P.O.V

I walked into Jahas office, I saw Clarke leaving but she didn't see me so I didn't bother to call for her. As I entered Jaha was leaning on the desk with a phone to his ear, he looked up to me and a smile grew on his face

"She actually just come in, would you like to talk to her?"

I gave him a questioning look but then took the phone from him

"Hello?" I said curiously

"This is Clarkes mother" I suddenly froze, my hands began to sweat as I waited for her to continue "I want you to stay away from Clarke, she has a bright future in front of her and I don't want her high school experiments getting inn her way"

"Miss griffin, I would like to say that I'm in love with your daughter and I assure you that we are not experiment"

"Two girls can't love each other it's biologically wrong, now if you want her to have a good future with a mother that loves her I would just like to ask you to keep your distance or you and Clarke both will have consequences" before I could respond she hung up, I stood there with my mouth open in shock, I looked to Jaha who was now laughing

"Lexa, you don't understand what love is, all you know is how to corrupt innocent girls, I suggest you do as miss griffin says, anyway it's for the best, I mean she's probably just with you for your family's money"

"No we love each other"

"Well if you love her then leave her alone, I have plans for Clarke so go corrupt someone who is not Clarke"

Jaha then pushed himself off the table and escorted me to the door "good bye Lexa" and with that I was left outside his door.

*bio class*

I sat on the other side of the class to Clarke, I sat beside a girl called Sarah, I think we hooked up once I cant remember. When class ends, after all the text and call for Clarke that I have been trying to ignore, Sarah slides a piece of paper in my pocket, I'm about to pull it out but Clarke grabs my arm before I could go. I don't know what to say so I tell her I love her and leave, I'm such and idiot but it's for the best, Clarke deserves better.

When I walk out I take the paper out my pocket 'hey, Anya here I can't text you so I did the whole paper thing, we need to talk, come to the cafe at 1, it's about C'. Does she mean Clarke? It's 12 now so I start to walk to the cafe, it's only a 30 min walk so I'm get there at 12:30, I order a coffee and sit down at a table by the window, I wait there anxiously waiting for Anya, when I see her come in I stand from my chair and wave her over

"Hey, Lexa I'm sorry about the other day but me and the guys found out something crazy"

"Don't worry about it and what? And who's C?" She looked at me with worry in her face, like she was scared I'm was going to hit her something

"Costia is alive" no she can't be, I saw her, she wasn't breathing, the hospital even called me to tell me, no does Anya think this is funny or something

"That's not fucking funny Anya" I began to clench my fist and jaw, ready to fight someone

"It's not a joke, look" Anya said in a quick tone hoping I won't swing at her, she showed me a photo taken by a cctv camera, we were trying to track down jacks dad for pay back but then was saw her walking in to that fancy office building, she looks loaded......do you think-" before she could finish I stood up and stormed out of the cafe, I didn't know where I was going or want I was going to do, I just walked
