Mermaids Have it All

Chapter 6

"No way!" I mutter looking at the golden castle. Mermaids and merman swam peacefully around it. I paused for a moment and admired the huge place. Ari noticed my staring and giggled," Come on!" Ari pushed. She held my arm and pulled me inside the castle.
With Cora in the lead we swam for what felt like forever in the castle. We went up the steps, which were pretty useless. The castle was like a human castle but underwater. Almost like it sunk one day.
We made it to the throne room, finally! After one-million rooms we were standing-...Er...swimming in front of a god. When Poseidon saw me he frowned. "Who is this?" He asked in an angered voice that seemed to boom. Waves went pass us quickly pulling our bodies away from him as he spoke. We kept on swimming forward for this reason. "Dad....This is my new friend-...." Cora smiled. "Your name is-...Shelby!" Ari whispered into my ear. "I'm Shelby..." I say. Poseidon stares at me then a small smile forms on his face. "Ah, Shelby! Shelby....tell me more about you!" The waves became calmer but still pulled us back with great force. "Um....I'm fourteen..." I start. "I like to collect seashells...I love animals.....I like to sing-" "Fun! Alright...you may be my daughter's friend-UNDER ONE CONDITION!-" "Dad!" Cora whines. "YOU BETTER TREAT MY DAUGHTER WITH RESPECT OR-! OR-" "I will..." Poseidon stares at me as we start to swim away. I was last out the door and looked back right before I left. "Don't mind him..." Cora told me. "Come on...You two have some explaining to do!" Cora says eyeing my tail. Ari and I look at each other then follow Cora to Cora's room.
  After explaining our conversation at my house Cora says," Interesting-...Shelby! Also...were those things true about you?" "Yes.." I answer nervously. "Really?" Ari asks her eyes big. "You are really fit for a mermaid!" Cora says to me. I bite my lip before saying," I use to sing all the time at concerts at my old school...it was kinda embarrassing the more I think about it..." Ari and Cora look at each other then back at me. "Can you sing for us?" Cora asked clearly excited. "Like-..?!" "I don't know...anything really....hmm..." "I'll sing you a song I made up when I was eleven...." Ari and Cora nodded. They both went quiet and waited for me to start. I sigh and close my eyes and tried to remember the old tune.

"Into the night! The waves seem to fall...
Whispering the waves call to me. Saying....
You're mine! You're ours! We have you now! We love you! We will keep you! In your heart you want us to....
Into the ocean! Into the light...Into the moon where the wolves howl, with all their might.
Watching the sand you see....Some words and you see this appear:
You're mine! You're ours! We have you now!We love you! We will keep you! In your heart you want us to!
You are ours....."

(A/N I JUST MADE THAT UP! Kinda catchy right?)

I look at Cora and Ari who's mouths were dropped. They both clapped and Cora hugged me. I blush embarrassed. I knew the words...but I thought my singing was terrible. A knock is heard on the door and Cora stops hugging me. She answers it. A hot merman is standing there. He has a dark blue tail and a warm smile. He has-....wait-....LUKE?
"Jenna?" Luke says confused. "Hi? Again?" I say staring at him.
He is even hotter as a merman...
