"My parents were so worried last night! They grounded me and said if I ever want to go down to the beach I have to bring them with me!" I tell Ari. Ari giggles," Goody tissues, be a rebel!" "Huh?"
"Go behind there back. Your a mermaid now. You need to swim..." Ari told me. Then we just walked in silence. I was lost on my own thoughts. "B-but-" "Meet me by the pier, tonight!" Ari says running off. I sigh annoyed. My parents would so kill me.
Then I feel a drop of water run down my elbow and into my shoe. "Sorry!" Like says coming from behind me. "HIDE!" He shouts. Without thinking to much I find myself running into the janitors closet. We were in school after all. Then I fall on the ground just in time for the door to close. My feet began to burn as tiny scales came to my feet before connecting to a tail. I lay down then shift position sine the closet was messy with thinks thrown every where. A green musty liquid laid on the floor. I noticed it had chunks of food in it.
"Ew..." I whisper careful not to make to much nose for the people that were to walk by the tiny room.
I hear a jingle of keys and watch as the doorknob begins to move rapidly as is someone was trying to get in on the other side. Thinking quick I search my mind for a way to stop the trespasser.
Then my feet began to tingle as the scales slowly disappeared. The door opened and I felt my heart pound.
I stared into the blank face of our male janitor. His expression was odd. He didn't even look down at me nor did he grab any object. He just slowly closed the door once more. I realized my feet were back an I could stand. I did just that and slowly opened the door. I met Luke again. "Again-...sorry.." He says once more. I could smell his breakfast. It smelled of maple syrup and I guess he had pancakes or waffles. We were sad Ing quite close. He hovered over me since he was taller. Our hands barely touching. I felt his fingers brush along mine and I could do nothing but blush. I look away,"I-it's f-fine..." I stutter. "I-...." The bell rang telling begone to gt to class. "We'll talk later.." He told me before walking away. I began to head to my next class, Math.
I wonder why they are meeting at the pier....hmm...well I guess you will have to wait to find out! ;)
