Mermaids Have it All

Chapter 11

"LUKE!" I yell. Everything went silent except the jingling of the chains tied to me. I was moving my hands around trying to break free. Since my feet were back I could kick them around. They were free. I still needed to get my hands though. I noticed something covered in blood. A little bit of yellow shined through the bloody scene. I stretched out my foot and touched it with my toe. Blood clamped onto my skin as I dragged the item over here. I was shaped like a key and knew it had to be.
I had only one choice. I put the key between my big toe as the one next to it. With it between my toes I bring it up only to drop it again.
  I hear footsteps and see the door knob jolt open. I look away scared that I too would die like Luke. "Jenna!" I voice whispered. I look at the door. I see Luke. "What- how-? I thought you w-were dead!" " I know! But I escaped! He almost killed me before he slipped and fell hitting his head while screaming. He has been knocked out and I hadn't dare to wake him! That was when I got here!" "There is a key right below me!" I say switching subjects. He runs over snatching the key and bringing it behind me where I felt my wrist break free. "Cori and Ari still need to be rescued, now come on!" He rushes. He grabs my hand and pulls me with him just like before, except we are running. Right out the door you could see Bloody footprints. "Blue's awake..." Luke mutters.
  We slow down afraid Blue would just pop up. We safely made it to another door where Luke said was the girls. The knob turns at my grip and we see Blue'a back. In front of Blue was Ari who had legs and Cori who still had her tail. She was clearly dying sense she is a full-mermaid and can't be out of water for too long!" 
  Blue turned around to look at us. I gulp and feel my heart pound at my chest. Luke only squeezes my hand refusing to let go. "Hand them over!" Like demands. Blue laughs evilly. "Aw...two little lovebirds trying to act brave!" Blue hisses. "Hand them over!" Luke repeats. "Now!" I say. Blue looks at us strangly. "Fine-...put first...you must die-!" He says before falling over. Once he had fully fallen on his face he stayed still and you could see a knife sticking out of his head. "Your welcome!" Ari says somehow free now. I look over at Cori. "Cori needs water! And quick!" I say. Everyone rushes over to her and picks her up. Her tail was dry and when we finally reached the water she was no longer moving.
  Then we watched as her stomach moved up and down and she began to cough. We let go of her body and let her swim still watching to make sure she was strong enough to not need any help.
  "Thank you!" Ari and Cori say in unison. Then they both laugh. "You should thank Luke! He's the real brave one!" I say. Looking at Luke. "Let's get you three home" he says softly. "Yes, dad needs to know where everyone's things are!" Cori says smiling again. "I'll be fine! Home is just around the corner!" Cori says pointing the castle in the distance. Luke nods. "Fine..."
  "I was going to have a sleepover with Cori..." Ari says. Cori smirks and I could tell they were lying and only trying to make Luke and I be alone...
  "Ah, that's fine..." Luke smiles. "I'll see you tomorrow.." He says too Cori and Ari. They both giggle once more swimming away to the castle.
 
   "Legs again... Feels-...weird" I say looking at Luke. "Again on the shore." Luke adds. He was right. Once agin we were on the shore. My house was in front of us and we were alone. "You are very brave!" He compliments. "No, I just didn't squeeze your hand like you did! You, scary cat!" I laugh. Luke chuckles.
  Then it happened. His lips came near and finally touched mine. They tasted of salt and I felt nothing but love. Sadly he finally pulled away leaving me astonished. "Ooo!" Two girls laugh. We look to the water and see Cori and Ari staring at us. "Really?!" I say still smiling. "I'll see you tomorrow," Luke says walking away. "Bye!" "Bye!"
  "Come on Guys!" I say looking at the two girls annoyed. They only respond with giggles.

OH MY GOSH! THE STORY IS OVER! :) Thank you so much for all the support! You guys really enjoyed this and so did I! I'm still surprised how many people read this!
