At the end of most chapters, there's a little (or long) paragraph from the writer where they may be explaining things, talking about updates or just talking about random stuff. Some readers choose to not read these notes, some readers do read them. But how can you make your author's notes entertaining?
Well using jokes about things that happen in that chapter is a great start! It shows the reader your engagement to your writing and that you are a funny person!
Don't ramble, keep it short and sweet. No one wants to a read a long ass paragraph!
Remind people to vote and comment but do it in a funny way that makes people more inclined to. In one of my books I kept making references to the 'little star' and they were always really cheesy jokes but people lapped it up!
