So you're going to write a book? Great! Have you made a cover yet? Wait you haven't? You're just to going to leave it where the title is on a blurry picture of your profile picture. Alright sit down, we need to have a talk.

Covers will be your enemy/ friend. They can be difficult to make and props go to those geniuses who do the whole Photoshop thing but I'm too lazy and too stupid to do all that.

Here's how to make a professional looking cover with the bare minimum amount of work or experience.

Apps you will need:

Google ( or weheartit if you are feeling fancy)
Any background erasing app and a photo layering app. (Optional depending on what cover you want)
Phonto or Font Studio

Steps:

Get a picture off the internet of something to do with your book. If its a person and you want to put it on a background then use the erasing app and photo layering app.

Make sure your cover is the right size and is portrait.

Use the font apps to add a cool ass font that is easy to read. Use only two maximum, don't confuse people.

Its that simple. Kapow you have a cover that people will see and want to click on. Don't rush your cover, that will leave you with a crap one. It takes time to find photos sometimes so don't give up, you will end up with an amazing cover.
