{Chapter 28}

«Alyssa's POV»

Last night, after we all left Jenna and Zayn's hotel room, it was kind of awkward between me and Ross. But it was nice awkward. I woke up this morning and felt excited. Hyped, thrilled, buzzed! Like a Hufflepuff on Hogsmede day. I jumped out of bed and pulled on some jeans with my room card in them. I somehow always lock myself out of the hotel room. Now for my top. I literally sat there for twenty minutes look for a top. Ooh! My Bittersweet Ambitions shirt! No one's a bigger Bittersweetie than Alyssa Macy! I swear to Wizard god, I'm not on drugs. I also pulled on my awesome Slytherin tie! I just love Harry Potter so much and TOM FELTON! GAH, OMG!! He's so HAAWWWWWWTT!! And a great actor and sexy. Very adorable. And his hair! I guess I just got a thing for blondes. And don't, and by that I mean never ever ever EVER, get me started on his abs. Yummylicios!! SHH, don't tell Ross!

I bounced into the hotel room's living room and called for room service. I'd have done it in my room but Ross is sleeping. Woah! Woah! WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH! Don't think like that! I see your dirty minds bending and twisting each and ever one of my words. Not cool. Here's the real story. They're was just one bedroom with two beds in it. Anyways, I basically ordered a whole buffet full of pancakes. Oh and some eggs & toast for Ross. Haha I kid, I kid! I didn't order anything for Ross. I sat on the sofa and started eating. I finished almost all of my pancakes when he woke up. I smiled and kept shoveling pancakes into my mouth.

"Hey Lyssie boo." Ross said, yawning.

I smiled and replied "Hey Rossie boo. Did ya know that you have the most adorable bed head?"

He laughed and sat next to me on the couch. As I finished my last pancake, Ross pulled me onto his lap. He started braiding my hair. I giggled and then gasped. Ross looked at me, confused and amused. Lookie here, I'm a poet and I don't even know it!

"Your giggle is cute." He said, absentmindedly, still braiding my hair.

"I do not giggle." I replied, blushing

"Do too! And now your blushing!!" Ross said, laughing as though I'd told him the funniest joke ever

"Shut UP!" I squealed as I got off his lap and whacked his arm.

I started laughing too. But then the laughing became a very silent silence. And I turned to look Ross in the eye. I don't know what came over me; maybe I was possessed, hypnotized, had an alien command me to do so? But I leaned forward and kissed Ross. It wasn't long and heated like last night but short and sweet. I pulled away and smiled. I was so happy and super proud that I had the courage to make the first move. That was, until I looked over at Ross and saw his expression. Confused, shocked, upset, scared. My lips felt 20 times heavier and my smile turned itself into a frown.

"Ross?" I asked, timidly. He turned to look at me.

"Alyssa...look. Your very smart and gorgeous and any guy would be lucky enough to have you." He stopped to sigh "But I've only ever seen you as my best friend. Another sister, even."

I couldn't stop the tears. I felt like I'd been stabbed in the back with thousands of knives. I could feel my heart, mended many times from other guys breaking it, break again. And through all this pain I felt, a single word escaped my lips.

"Friend-zoned." I said before running out of the room.

I ran through the stairwell door and down flight after flight. I just ran and ran. Everything a blur from my seemingly never-ending tears. I didn't really know where I was going until he opened the door and I had collapsed in his arms. He didn't ask any questions or give me pity. He just opened the door wider and invited me in.
