{Chapter 8}

«Alyssa's POV.»

When we finally got to the recording studio, it was 12:15. We all walked (ran) into the recording booth, out of breath and panting. We're all so out of shape! But whatever, we are famous for singing not running (thank god!).

We all shuffle into the recording booth and decide on one of the songs that I wrote for us. Its called 'Are You Happy Now?" [its actually a Meg and Liz song]. We're recording this and posting it on our YouTube channel. The music started.

Jaden starts off, like usual 

'She stood out in the crowd, was a little too loud. 

But that's why we love her 

She's not like other girls 

She could have conquered the world 

Until you broke her down'

Then all Ambitions did the chorus 

'Are you happy now 

That she's on the ground? 

And do you realize the words you say make bruises that don't fade away 

Are you happy now 

That you've brought her down?  

And she's thinking that she won't fit in 

Cause you said something's wrong with her 

Are you happy now?'

Then Jenna had her solo 

'He liked science not sports 

He knew what he stood for 

He's not like you, you don't like that 

15 years down the road  

He could be everything you won't 

But right now you're breaking him down'

Then the chorus but for a guy 

'Are you happy now 

That he's on the ground? 

And do you realize the words you say make bruises that don't fade away

That you've brought him down?  

And he's thinking that he won't fit in 

Cause you said something's wrong with him 

Are you happy now?'

Next was Brisa's solo 

'I've heard that it was done to you 

Is that why you do what you do? 

Well that no excuse, no 

And if it felt like hell to you 

Then why'd you want to put then through what hurt you?'

Then was my small solo 

'Are you happy now 

That you've brought them down?'

I-I-I I don't think so'

Then the last chorus

'Are you happy now

That they're on the ground?

And do you realize the words you say make bruises that don't fade away

That you've brought them down?

And they're thinking that they won't fit in

'Cause you said something's wrong with them

Are you happy now?'

Then another little part for me

'Are you happy now?

Are you happy now?'

The boys were applauding and Niall wolf whistled. Being the theatrical one, I curtsied. Then I took my laptop to the couch and posted the video on YouTube and the link on my Twitter (I'm obsessed, okay?).

Not even 5 minutes later, we had over 1000 views. Most of the comments were sweet or asking questions about the other Ambitions dating One Direction (news travels fast). The remaining comments were hate. And most of the hate was geared towards me. They were telling me that I didn't deserve to be in the band, that I'm not pretty, that my voice stinks, that I'm the fat one, etc.

I watched the boys hug and congratulate all the other girls. And I sat there. Staring at the screen, mesmerized. Watching the hate build up. Not being able to look away.

Someone came up behind me and closed the laptop. I turned around to face Niall. I didn't even know I'd been crying until he wiped tears off my cheeks.

"I know how it feels." He said

That was all he had to say to set me off again. Niall sat down next to me and pulled me onto his lap.

"Shh. Shh. It's okay." He mumbled, rubbing my back

"D-does it get better?" I asked

"I'd love to sit here and tell you that in time it gets better and easier and that the hate stops" Niall sighed "Honestly...no."

"Well, wh-what do I do?" I questioned

"You ignore it." Niall said "and then you cry about it later"

Niall got this faraway look in his eyes

"We'll cry together. Us ones they don't want." I said, making him smile.
