{Chapter 36}
«Alyssa's POV»
"Neeoooww! Woosh!" I say quietly, flying a toy plane around my head
I was sitting next to Niall, we're waiting for our airplane to come so I could fly off to Ireland with him. Management added a one week extension to Bittersweet Abitions' break was so we could visit family. But I don't exactly 'get along' with my family. We hate each other. They never supported my dreams of being in a band to begin with. They excepted them though, saying they at least wanted me to go to college first.
It's not my fault I'm a year above the other Ambitionsnin schooling. It's not my fault Uncle Simon signed my band while I was in the middle of my first year of college. It's not my fault that I was outvoted (3/1) to sign the contract. It's not my fault we were overnight sensations. IT'S NOT MY FAULT MY FAMILY DOESN'T LOVE ME!! That's the reason I can't go home; no one will accept me, love me, look at me, or acknowledge I exist.
I was going to the home I share with my band mates in Darlington but they're all going to visit family. And I'm not allowed home alone for more than a day at a time without being checked on. And no ones family lives close enough for them to check on me. Bristol, Leeds, and Blackpool aren't close to Darlington at all! Or so I've been shown of Google Maps. And your not allowed to put anything on the Internet that isn't true.
"Pew pew pew, DIE YOU NAZI!" I scream as I chuck my toy plane across the room. Niall smiles and shakes his head at me.
I got up to go get it but a little kid got to it first. I wanted to go over there and rip it from his hands but I'm not allowed to be mean to young children anymore. It would affect my famous person fancy smancy pantsy image that I apparently have for singing in a girl band. And my friends won't bring me back presents. Cruel, cruel world. OH WOE IS ME! I think that's Shakespeare but it could also be ICarly. The world will never know. Unless we Google it...Whatever
"Flight 245 to Mullinger is now boarding." A male voice announced
"Ni-Ni, the plane is HEEERRRE!" I squeal, excited. I jump out if my seat and drag Niall over to the ticket taking man. He takes our tickets from Niall and I go running to our seats. First class, seat B and C. I dive into my seat, the first person on the plane. There are two flight attendants, one is as my mom's age and on that's a little older than Louis. I smiled at them as Niall walked on the plane.
"Your crazy, you know that Ally?" He asked me, moving my feet so be could sit.
"Thank you." I say, confusing him
"Wait, did you just turn my insult into a compliment?!" He asks, bewildered
"Pretty much." I say with a shrug "How else do you not let hate get to you?"
"Ignore it." He answers automatically. Like a little robot. A little Modest! Management robot.
"That was a RHETORICAL question." I say
"Rhetora-what?" He asked
"R-h-e-t-o-r-i-c-a-l. Rhetorical." I say, spelling it out
Niall didn't look at me, just pulled out his phone and started typing. I watched his thumbs slowly go over the keyboard, the little noises that came out the only indicator of actual typing.
"Texting a cute girl," I tease, hoping it isn't true
"Googling rhetorical." He said.
As Niall typed and typed and typed, his face got redder and redder and redder. There were many other passengers on the plane by the time Niall finally burst.
"It keeps bringing up Mexican cooking websites!" Niall growled "Stupid Google."
"Hey! Google isn't stupid, YOUR stupid." I argue, snatching his phone.
He tried to protest but I shushed him. I search rhetorical for him and the definition immediately pops up. I hand it back to Niall. His mouth was shaped like a little 'o'. Niall managed to say one thing through his shock.
"Sorcery!" Niall accused
"Maybe it is, maybe it isn't." I answer mysteriously
